Mek Posted July 28, 2013 Report Share Posted July 28, 2013 im currently rattlecanning some stuff and ive got the paint down nice and evenly...do i wet sand the paint smooth before spraying the lacquer in the same way i did with the primer or is this just for non metallic paints? dazzy Posted July 28, 2013 Report Share Posted July 28, 2013 Nope. You will mess up the metallic otherwise. Before lacquering apply a dust coat of colour after the 2-3 coats of normal coverage. From a distance allow the paint to dust onto the part/panel. This will get the flake sitting nicely . Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
