Biggy
It would be laquered,I doubt spray cans would get you a good finish, also you will have matching in issues with the other panels...
Briano
it can be done with cans. i think blade posted something up in the modifications forum recently about painting a wing and he got good results. but all painting requires good prep and take your time

Biggy
yeah, would you recommended primer or will the sanded silver wing be ok to spray the colour straight onto. you shouldn't need primer ,as long as it's flatted well..any bare metal should be primed.. :: blade ::
you can get good results from rattle cans id primer as your spraying it a different colour so the shade might be wrong if you go over the silver, if it was the same colour then you shouldnt need primer heres the link to show you the results you can get
Lex_GTS
You won't need primer if you're spraying onto paint. Primer is pretty much to secure adhesion between the contact surface and paint. If you're spraying onto paint already on the wing make sure you rub it back past the lacquer as its not great for adhering paint to an will likely flake. razor2812
well after digesting all the info re the wing i decided to sand back the silver wing , prime it , paint it and lacquer it using 2pac paint to match better than the rattle cans. then as always a mint grey wing becomes available. so i have 1 silver wing with a few scratches on it, passenger side. 1 x grey wing with a couple of tiny rust spots on and a driver side one almost mint. will list these in for sale section shortly.
