GTsillycar
I just bought these, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140731001409?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 If you look at pic 3 it shows some damage to the back of one of the wheels. Thing is do you rekon i'd be able to sort this with a rubber mallet or chunk of wood and a club hammer? Or do you think it needs to be sent off to be repaired properly. If so does anyone know of a wheel repair firm around West Sussex?

GTsillycar
I'm 100% sure it can be repaired. With steel rims in the past i have beaten them back into shape with a hammer. Just concerned with the alloy as to risk of tearing, then needing to get it welded.

badj
Its repairable, think I paid around £60 a couple of years ago to have similar damage fixed to a wheel
Peter150
I used to compete in road rallying and managed to buckle three alloys exactly like that. I tried hitting it with a hammer but it wasn't going to budge so sent it off for repair. It was about £70 a corner if I remember. Buckled alloys like that are a MOT failure and i'm pretty sure they'd notice a bodged hammer job. Done properly and its a great job. They literally melt (well soften) the alloy and reform it back to how it should be. Has the added effect of also removing any kerbing marks.
