sonic Posted January 26, 2012 Report Share Posted January 26, 2012 you on about the jdm thing that sits on the parcel shelf ? i have the gen 5 version , that doubles up as a interior light mine was plug and play , just plugged into the old socket for the original light , so i am guessing it would wire/plug into some permanent live like a boot light , then it would boot up after the ignition is switched on as for replacement parts good luck , these are rare in the first place so spares will be near non existent , still they look good Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Tazz Posted January 26, 2012 Author Report Share Posted January 26, 2012 yeah mine is in the parchel shelf and has a plug like the plug for the rear lights loom. i took off the boot plastics and theres no plug theres a bracket for it but no loom or plug. Adex Posted January 26, 2012 Report Share Posted January 26, 2012 My ss2 had a purifier. I took it all out when I scrapped the car. I'm putting it into my gt4 but haven't got round to it yet. I'll dig out my kit tomorrow & post up some pics for you. Apart from the purifier, there's the extra loom from the shelf to the drivers side footwell, and of course the switch. You'll be able to make something similar. Filter-wise, an genuine part will be expensive. I'm going to be replacing mine with a cut down (engine) air filter, possibly from a bike. It purafies air like if your living in the city it sucks in the air then filters it and puts it back out ya must have the windows up to get gain out of it like aircon. I just bought it to get it working in the car its rare enough along with the other stuff i got. I got a clean bin for the passnger footwell aswell off the same guy. I've got most of the ones I want, the purifier, the emergency flare, the projectors, the 3 speaker door-cards, wind deflectors, oe advan racing alloys & momo steering wheel. Blitz nur spec backbox came on the car. Quite fancy a trd front brace, but I've got a cheap & cheerful one on with the oe brace. Not really too bothered though as I've effectively got something which does the same job. I'd just be changing for the sake of it. All your carbon real? Tazz Posted January 27, 2012 Author Report Share Posted January 27, 2012 Yeah all real carbon got the blocks from japan and the carbon dash in ireland. i know where there is a carbon reg holder which i might buy if i have the spare cash if its still there. The trd braces are hard to come by i was looking nearly 2 years since i first saw one and got it 2 months ago happy out some people are looking for mad money. I want a gt4 but i also want a soarer the scales are tilting more towards the soarer for rwd fun and the almighty power you can get out of it. Almost wish I hadn't now, as Everything else I get has to be real now or it'll look sh1te!
