Unfortunately last night we had around 20 spam users signed up and between them they sent over 3000 PM's to members. How they were able to bypass the current restrictions we may never know but rest assured we have taken steps to mitigate this happening again.
We have increased the CAPTCHA (the thing that stops spam) and reviewed our spam settings. We have also imposed limits to PM's for Visitors group. So this is signed up members that have not purchased a membership. See attachment for limits. If you do not want this limit then purchase a membership. Unfortunately this is necessary to protect our members. Anyone that received the spam email please just delete it!
