I did get it back. Advertised the engine but no takers. So stripped what I could and had it taken for scrap with the engine.
  6. Write Off Valuation

Can an insurance company force me to accept the wright off valuation of my car? They have made an insulting offer and I am disputing it.
  7. Accident damage.

My life just gets better and better. Hope my beloved Celica can be saved. Stupid tw*t in a VW run in to the back of me when I was stationary and pushed me into an oncoming car. My car drives perfectly and everything works. Back of tailgate is a bit bent but still closes and locks. Bonnet opens and locks but is a bit tight on the catch. Considering the damage to the VW it shows hoe tough the celica is.

  17. In my new role as a NHS community support worker I will be using my car to do my rounds. On average I will be doing about 70 to 80 miles a day visiting about 10 patients. I will be getting mileage at 45p per mile after the first 20 miles. Is the Celica a suitable car for this job?
  18. Write Off Valuation

The car is a 02 Gen 7 but I had a 06 engine with only 25k on it put in to it. Before the accident the car was immaculate inside and out with a full service history from new and I am only the second owner.
  19. Accident damage.

Yes. I insured it with a value of £2000.
  20. Accident damage.

Car is a CAT B. They offered me £1285 but I told them I want close to £200 due to the rebuilt low mileage engine and the immaculate condition of the car plus the full service history.
  21. Is a Celica the right car for the job?

It is. Would the Celica survive the 1000 per month and the day made up of short journeys?
  22. Is a Celica the right car for the job?

We do not get paid from the commute to and from the office. I live 10 miles from the office but someone living 4 miles from the office gets mileage after 8 miles. I am looking at a late 2004+ 140.
  23. Accident damage.

That is my plan. Should get a few hundred for the 2006 engine. My only problem is storage and removing of parts. I live in flats with a communal car park.
  24. Accident damage.

They want to get it into there possession first.
  25. Accident damage.

Car being collected by the insurance company on Thursday. So today I took it to a local trusted bodywork fitter for a quote. He simply said it is too fare gone. The boot floor is crumpled there is a damage to the front behind the bumper. So my beloved car is dead Engine is from a 2006 model and has done less than 50,000. Leather interior is perfect as are doors and all the electrics are fully working. Still drives a dream,
