Photoshoot with Practical Classics went ahead as planned today at Peterborough Arena. Weather was dry and sunny. They started shooting at 10:30am with a few staturary shots of the engine, interior, wheels and parts of the bodywork. All shots were done outdoors. There was a team of three involved in the whole procedure.
The exciting part was the "moving shots" where I followed their estate car with the photographer guiding me to either come closer or move back, a bit like shooting a action movie. We did a few laps of this.
I was talking to the owner of a Ford Escort Mexico 1972 which was being photographed for the front cover........I did try and persuade them to put mine on instead.........but they didn't accept my bribe
The staff of Practical Classics said that their jobs weren'nt particularly well paid, but you'd have to have a passion for cars to enjoy the job.
The article will appear in the May edition which will be on sale mid April. They will send me a complimentary issue plus a CD of my photos.
