Our lass keeps saying same thing the fat bitch

Im not saying the supra is rubbish far from it im comparing it to a similar priced Evo - but for me they never have been my cup of tea even when we had them in for service when i was a 17 year old apprentice at Toyota in 93 i never thought wow i want one like i did when the 205 came out in 94.
But a evo would leave all the other cars eating its dust in a spirited drive over back country roads.
-
I was thinking that must be reason its high
-
I got quoted £500 a year - using zero NCB as thats on my main car and 3K a year miles
-
Dirtmatt is the fella on OC who sold up for a yellow evo - unsure if still a member
Yeah no longer a member

Get a limited mileage policy and costs will be reduced by loads.
-
Id go Evo - a Supra is just a big heavy straight line machine unless you spend ££££ on the suspension set up.
If you can afford the associated costs and do your research then go for it - Evo's are leagues ahead in terms of performance and nobody can deny this.
Mook had a Evo 4 with 5 running gear i believe and are a few on the OC who have run EVO's - ask on there too

his is why its perfect when your mrs has a GT4.
I can build a real monster and keep hers as a fast road car with minimal engine mods and things like coilovers.
-
You could make the green one into a very decent fast road car with some of the above mods transfererred over.
But what about TSS ?
Thought that was the whole reason for doing the work to the silver one ?
-
Green is a super rare and lovely colour but then you think of the money and effort invested in the silver one.
Not a easy choice to make
-
If you have carbon its got to be the real thing - on exterior items anyway - as you can just tell a mile off its not real.
Obviously thats my take on it - not everyone will agree
-
That blue one is nice - was trying to find pics of it on google earlier

The 1st one is a lovely car - i was going to buy this back in 09 and actually had a deposit on it but then i found my grey one literally 5 minutes down the road
-
I think he will all round top bloke - but maybe a deposit is best way to secure but sometimes there can be pitfalls with members who have no morals
When i was buying Erin a GT4 i had agreed to buy a black car off of a member on the GT4OC - sent him £400 deposit on the agreed terms that he would wait for my money to clear.
I was very clear about this and that it was going to be around 6 - 8 weeks and he was fine with this.
I had also agreed to pay full price and not tried to haggle.
After 4 weeks he said he needed the cash - i re explained the deal we had struck.
He said he had a buyer and that it had to go - i was not happy but simply asked for my deposit back.
I got £100 he said he had dropped price by £300 for the sale and so i was loosing out as i had to stand his loss !!!
Needless to say was not impressed - ended up with her yellow one and he seemed to dissapear with hs money despite trying to find him and recover more

Thor engineering probably know them quite well - put one into a old rwd celica
-
There are always risks involved in running cars - especially rally reps that are coming upto 20 years old and cost £30K when new.
But if you buy a good one - and the one in question is one of the best and cleanest around - then a lot of that risk is removed.
Yes they dont give great mpg , they can be expensive if they break - but a good one will last if correctly maintained and a ST205 imo is the pinnacle of celica evolution.
You will love it
-
Again a lot of work involved but its a lot of ££££ for a fake
-
Yeah Spree is keeping his now
-
Yeah i myself would go for that from those listed - i reckon a offer of £2K would get it
Already has choice mods like HKS dump valve , Blitz exhaust and nice alloys
Cheapish Bride seats

No no - never sell the sets i have
Having a genuine set for mine and having thoroughly looked over Ferdy's copy set there is zero difference.
