One of the lads on the OC is going for the 2GRFE conversion with SC on his 205
-
But it was designed as a entry level coupe - these SC'd cars are far from stock and are doing things the 7 was never intended to do.
I take my hat off to the people that have gone this route but if i was doing it all again id just buy a car with a nice big v8 and have none of these 4 cylinder machines -
I love GT4's but i seriously would not recommend one to anyone now as getting old and finding a proper cherished one is rare indeed.
-
Just remember - if you put the money that it costs to SC a 7 with the associated stuff like better brakes , LSD ect you would have a seriously sorted GT4.
Totally different cars at end of day - one was made to cheat in the WRC other was designed as a entry level coupe
-
On UK fuel imports and UK make same power.
A stock 205 will easily do 0-60 mid 5's -
Well i was outside and didnt see the above - i had tried hitting wheels from back with a rubber hammer to no effect.
So i got a big cushion and held it against the tyre then hit the edge with a sledge hammer and both off
-
Well im breaking the yellow GT4 and rear wheels are stuck - nuts are off and been sprayed with penetrating oil but i cant shift them.
Any advice or help will be very much appreciated

Ian's 165 - if i had the funds id have it in a instant

Full purple hose kit

Whilst i admire the work and effort thats gone into it if i was spending £20K on a jap V8 it would be a Lexus ISF
-
Any aftermarket wheel will fit providing you use the correct boss kit for that wheel and your car

1st thing i did to my 7 was rip out the seats - before wheels and everything.
Stuck s set of cobra suzukas in - but these were the days before se7en and engine upgrades ect.
-
If you can afford some then do it - mine are genuine and cost a fortune even though i got them at 50% off through a old friend.
Ferdy has bride copy seats ( non carbon shell ) and they are identical in every way but only cost around £400 for a pair i believe

I got my registration and reciept for my new wolf dog

There is a very well cared for 205 over on the OC for £2700 - with a lot of premium parts on it and a proper restoration job been carried out.
Here is link to restoration thread on another forum

The TRD skirts on a 6 are different to those on a 7 - it might not fit but still worth a trip to halfords to be sure
-
I have the regular jack and doesnt fit under - would think this one should though.
Best way is to drive to nearest one and ask them to let you test it - no reason they wouldnt let you if leads to a sale

Yeah they can be a tight squeeze.
I know some people will be put off as copies - as was i before i bought my genuine set but having seen them they literally are no different.
And when you consider a set of 2nd hand recaros from a integra go for same / bit more i know what are the better seats.
But no good if you need access to rear seats as dont tilt fully forward
-
Absolutely no comparison between a set of recaro seats and a set of bride seats wether they are copy or not.
Annoying things people say about ur car...
