  1. Paul is one of the nicest and most helpful blokes I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Met him for the first time at jae this year. Even though I was not using him to do my conversion he was always willing to give any and all advice whenever I asked.
  2. Oy Tea making is a bloody art form But yes I am useless
  3. I hate to ruin a good lie mate I made the tea while the mechanic asked me to liase with paul woods Saying that the mechanic took out the old 3sge and got the new engine in with gearbox driveshafts etc in 2 days He had her running within 2 more days (rough as a bears arse but she was running )

  5. If you are interested in a v6 conversion mate You will never get a better deal than to buy mine My package would give you every part that you needed for a complete swop From engine through to high flow fuel pump It's a case of swapping over well over£4000 of parts for only £2k It seems as though a lot of people on this thread (and lots of others) Seem to think that the 3litre conversion may give a little bit more power than a 2litre but nowhere near the famous gt4 So thought that I should just give you all some info on the power capabilities of the 3litre conversion Firstly the 3sge engine in a gen 6celica produces 137ft lb of torque Now that figure is a flywheel figure so when you take out the infinite variable of attaching a car to the engine  At the wheels figure is probably a little lower than that Compare that to my At The Wheels torque figure of 197ft lb of torque as you can see by the figures the 3litre produces well over 70 percent more torque than the 3 sge engine!!! Now in a real world comparison IF ........ On a private road obviously A very well sorted gt4 went past me with turbo on full chat at 70mph and accelerated to130mph And I accelerated at the same time the distance between the vehicles stays the same!! In other words a very well cared for example of a gt4 with a recon hybrid turbo and hks turbo timer pushing out in the region of 300bhp Will not in any significant way out accelerate a 3litre celica at those speeds As for reliability these engines ( especially when it has been fully reconditioned ) is bullet proof And when coupled with a stand alone ecu which was mapped on a Rolling road for over 5hours to produce optimum performance and reliability There is absolutely nothing to worry about longevity of these engines. Don't mean to clutter up this thread but from what's been written it seems that a lot of people are blissfully unaware of the performance of these engines and I just thought the subject needed clarification
  6. Yes mate but ask them in 5years time wether they regret their actions??
  7. from what you have written ... you really like your car (and its a very nice example!) but quite honestly if you are going to have to take out a loan for a gt4 then you know in your heart that you cant afford the running costs if anything goes wrong (they dont call them FAFFS for nothing) let your head rule your heart and keep your immaculate gen 6 mate IMHO
  8. Pols in me ass off

  9. No problem mate They have definitely installed it wrongly Wasn't bloody halfrauds was it ?
  10. Was the interference there from the day that the newcastle company put it in ? If so take it back to them Sounds as though you have either a dodgy earth or maybe a pinched live wire which is bleeding your battery dry?

  23. done a couple of test pieces today to take to jae so the plan is yes i will be going to corporate..when my membership is due at the end of this month but (isnt there always a but ) due to the 6 days a week i have to devote to my main business and the fact that this in no way would EVER make me even think about it as a financial option in comparison to my real work. so if anyone is interested in having any of your interiour flocked, yes i can do anything in flock, but please be aware that i can only do this when i am quite at work. so thats all the disclaimer shit out of the way if i get enough interest then i will drag my ladies son away from his permanent viewing of all things football related  and he can earn some money to make up for the pittance he gets paid in his full time job heres some pics then cos we all love some pics firstly centre console and gear surround thoroughly cleaned then a bit of flocking action in black now need leaving for 24 hours until the glue is completely cured and then i will hoover off the excess and should look and feel lurvelly
