im impressed with that. I blame the rex driver . he didnt have the minerals

Yeah really poor lines, you could see just how much better the RX was in the bends he just wasn't getting the best out of it. I went through 2 brand new Goodyear eagle F1's trying to keep up in that session, lol,

Really??? The last car I owned was a rx8 so you can't really get much better then that but the celica feels loose on corners although it is the best fwd car I have driven (now I have fitted 25mm spacers). I thought the type r was built to be on tracks mean while this was built to appeal to the younger generation aka me lol. And he has a great suspension set up on his at the moment and mine just has worn springs and dampers lol.

You think a 190 is loose, try peddling a Mazda 6MPS around corners. Its a feckin barge! Had a tussle with a fully modded RX8 at 3 sisters a few years back, god it was hard work, lol.

  3. Having owned both it would be much closer than you think in a straight up drag as both have identical power to weight ratios.

I'd say it would be down to driver skill levels TBH, off the line clutch control, reaction time, gear changes etc...if both standard that is. Comparing modded cars is just pointless!

Power runs are pointless as well, as the ep3 comes with more power from factory and your 2zz is standard so save your money there straight away.

Have a look here in Zeperfs...

  4. The redstuff were fading after 4-5 laps of my first session, so I had to change my technique from a sharp dab in a straight line and trail braking into the apex to a short/medium hard application and then let the car roll into the apex which stopped the fading. Lost time but they still worked for the whole session.

As above the Stoptech sport pads front and rear along with some additional cooling to the fronts should be enough.

  5. Think I'm just used to pull your face off brakes running Ferodo DS1.11 in the Clio. Yeah spongy pedal and can get the ABS to just about kick in so they are working as they should by the sound of it. I just require something with a bit more bite for track. Got a set of braded lines to firm up the pedal and will take a punt on the DS3000's.

  6. Anyone used these in the standard front calliper? I've just rebuilt my callipers and fitted mtec discs with red stuff fronts and Pagid OE rears and the braking is still shockingly bad. Was going to upgrade to the Avensis set up but the lack and price of track pads puts me off.

Used the DS3000 in Compbrake 4 pots in my old Clio 182 but they were far to aggressive for the <1000kg Clio.
