I wonder if someone could help me also had anyk d had this problem,
I have a 2000 celica vvtli which when I accelerate harshly it splutters and back fires but the wierd thing is that it doesn't do this all the time, it doesn't do it on idle just occasionally on harsh acceleration, what does everybody reckon this could be?

Things like this makes me thankful that I decided to put a cobra alarm system on my car, might even putting a tracker on it aswell
I hope his insurance pays out otherwise that will be another kick in the teeth, I hope who ever did it gets run over by a gen 5 celica

The normal rubber ones last longer are a lot cheaper and do the same job, the only advantage I can think off that silicone hoses have is that they are easily to manipulate when installing and obviously they look better but unless your making a show car then I would stick with the rubber hoses and spend your money on more decent mods

Because any engineer would know this, and I am one, with a front wheel drive car you always put the new tyres on the front and the old ones on the back as for one 80% of your braking force is on the front so you need good tyres with tread to provide the grip, secondly you need the grip round corners, pretty self explanatory and thirdly on front wheel drive cars you also have the drive so you need a good tyre on the front otherwise in the wet if you have sh#t tyres with low tread on the front, your wheels will struggle for traction, possibly cause your car not to turn on corners as in heavy rain your fronts could aqua plain and lastly as I mentioned before, if you ever needed to do an emergency stop in the wet on sh##ty tyres with hardly any tread on then god help you,
I think it works out something like this, a new tyre on the front which will be 8mm the stopping distance would be let's say 20m at 50mph
Compare that to a tyre on the front with 3mm of tread the stopping distance increases by 50% going at the same speed.

You always put new tyres on the front especially with front wheel driven cars.

Yer 50/50 is the best way to go, that will normally give a mixture tolerance to about -25 before it will freeze

I would run them for a day or two and then take them out as if it's still running lean then the tips will obviously turn white again

It depends what your looking for, if it's power that your looking for or a fast 0-60 time then there pretty much both the same as although the gy86 has 200bhp it's heavier so it works out the 0-60 times is exactly the same as the gt 190, I personally would keep the gt 190 and mod that, super charge it or turbo charge

Right I would suggest you check your injectors as a white ended spark plugs indicated your car is running lean so not enough fuel is going into your combustion chamber, you need to get this looked at as a car running lean can seriously damage your engine, are all your spark plugs like it?
As for the gap check with the supplier specs or if you can access it go on auto data
It personally looks alright to me as iridium spark plugs conduct has less resistance so therefore a stronger spark which means a bigger gap is technically needed

Definitely recommend them, I have them with EBC red stuff pads, this combination will massively improve your braking, when I first used properly they almost tore my face off lol
Yer so get groved and dimpled/drilled with the EBC red stuff pads

Get some red oxide paint, that has chemicals within it that reacts with rust and counteracts it, it's expensive but is good stuff
