Lol.
Its been a massive help though....
And here's my template
Ta-da
Cooool! Just get 2 bits of clear Perspex and sandwich the cardboard inside for the ultimate in new style of dress panels! Be different!

The eBay ad pics clearly show AVA on the centres so they are actually the ones I mention above.

Thanks for the advice all, think i'll give hammerite smooth a try. Slightly alarmed by how long it takes to dry though, can it really take 48 hours?! It says touch dry in an hour or something on most of the info about it, and i know it's cold at the moment but surely it can't take more than 2-3 hours? It's not essential that i paint them this time round, just figured it'd be easier whilst the discs are off. I've grown quite fond of the idea of nice gloss black calipers...
Hammerite dries quicker but that other paint I mentioned deffo took more than 24 hours to dry :/
-
I would warn you tho - that stuff takes aaaaaaages to dry 48hours approx so be prepared to be celica-less for that duration.

Hey mate I used normal Hammerite and some of this:
never had any issues with flaking etc.

Nice write up - No mention of the UFO's that some Gen 7 users suffer with, (including me) I think it is down to the bulb position. Will have to look into this...

It's the transfer of graphics to an object using water to suspend the graphic. He's text back & you'd be looking at £60 ish for the centre console in CF finish.
Here are a few examples of Hydro graphics:
:0 Wow that's some amazing shizzle!! Ill give it a whirl! How can I contact him JO3?
-
Thanks for the replies people.
I was prob talking poop when I said matte carbon and the pics John has posted is exactly the kind I want.
Whats the ballpark kinda figure I should be paying to get this done?
Can't say I've ever seen a Matte carbon..it's always got a shiny nature to it due to the actual printing process to make the weave apparent. Here's an interior I wrapped a while back anyway
Some mighty fine handiwork I see there.
I know a lad who's just started offering hydro graphics mate, I've text to see if he does a matt CF finish & guide prices if it's something you'd be interested in?
Cheers mate, ill hold fire and wait and see, never heard of hydro graphics? What is this trickery??
i do wrapping if ur interested. i did all of ghoulies interior
Ah I see, will let you know kittii, any pics you can put up?
Get it dipped, far more classy than wrap
Dipped?? Theres only one kind of dipping I do with any of my bits and I dont think thats what you are referring to?

Hi Guys,
I want to send my centre console, gear surround and clock surround to be wrapped in a Matt carbon style vinyl.
Can anyone point in the right direction?
Thanks
-
I would say a pretty fair price considering all the mods but with T-Sports going so cheap you may struggle to get the full £4500.

Hi Guys, trying to source a decent flywheel, been told that the Fidanza ones are not really reliable so not sure what to go for, any suggestions?
Thanks

Neither - you have had both and sold both.
Buy something different

Grab the 330d over a 318 /320, this might look the part but your no pimp..
-
I too had an e30 325i M-Sport back in the daze, fast as fook!!! The e46 318 is a slow as hell motor but not much more than the 140
-
Glad you are ok mate.
I had my drivers side rear tyre blow out at about 120mph on the 'Autobahn' whilst trying to catch a 4.2 Quattro Audi A6 and I hardly noticed, I had 3 passengers and it just felt like a very slight vibration had appeared so I slowed down and pulled onto the hard shoulder and the tyre was flat, when I removed it i could see a large hole on the inside edge. God knows how I didnt go into a spin at that speed just as you did albeit at a much lower speed.

Such a shame.
Apparently alot of the 80's Jap stuff that was in scrap yards up until about 5 years ago was crushed as it was worth more when the scrap metal prices went up. This is why you no longer see cars stacked up to 5 high in scrappys and one of the reasons I had to sell my 1985 Nissan Cherry Turbo, i needed some interior bits and bobs that were discontinued and I couldn't find ANY in the scrap yards, this was the reason I was given

This is looking like a nice deal for someone.
-
Sorry to hear this, I hope you are not in too much pain. Hopefully the car will be fixable and dont let not having your seatbelt on put you off putting a claim in for your injuries. Just tell them the truth and you should still get a pay out.
-
Saw these 2 pic so thought I'd share.
Gen7 kicks ass but still a nice Gen6 as well.
-
It's defo a temp sensor, possibly 202
Thanks guys, I did have a St202 with a 3S-Fe many many moons ago so it may be from that.
Anyone need one, other wise the bin will be its new home.

Shit man, one thing about having a decent car is 'Women know we love our cars' and find it the easiest to get you that way. My Gen6 was keyed all over by my ex but I had no proof and had to pay for the respray myself so I know what your going through. Sucks but at least you caught her doing it.
I'll get ripped for asking this but....
