Okay - I've done some digging and it looks like the TOY43 key is the right one, of which you can get an all-metal, flat version at Key Trader. Worked out as £2.40 with postage, so not a huge deal if it turns out to be a dud.
Will update on it's performance in case anyone ever finds this thread.

If you just type in celica key on Ebay, cheapest is 99p
I can only find them with the plastic fob part. I need one like this:
or this:
I'm wondering if maybe an old 4Runner, Rav4 etc key blank would work.

Got a link?

Does anyone know of a key blank that I can get that can be cut to the shape of my Gen 7 keys that doesn't come with the plastic fob section for the remote central locking?
Looking to get a backup key cut that I can keep in my wetsuit when surfing, so don't want the massive bulbous part.

I think at best it looks like a nose, at worst a wang.

Any more developments since? I was thinking of getting the gen 7 wings and trd skirts painted?
Not on mine - still waiting for a good weather weekend to do a fog light delete and get the rear bumper sprayed before I fit mine. Wouldn't have bothered with removing the fogs but someone who couldn't park for shit scraped the corner of the bumper so needs a respray anyway.

Also quite a few people have said its a 'nice supra' nobody has confused it with a Civic though, then again I would rather smash my cock flat with a house brick then take it to KwikFit.
Yeah, for some reason I went against my better judgement as I was in a hurry and assumed they'd at least be fast. After waiting beyond my appointment time by 20 minutes I went to the place next door and was seen immediately.
-
Haven't had that many compliments of late - had quite the opposite at a KwikFit the other day:
"Is yours the Civic, mate?"
And, unfortunately for those unlucky enough to go to KwikFit regularly, that was one of the members of staff asking.

The whole lot was £280 delivered. The parts on their site are about £160, then delivery from Latvia I would guess at around £20-40, so at a guess spraying was ~£100 for all three parts.

Okay, so the weather totally sucks ass so didn't have a thorough look. However, did a quick line up and checked the colour.
Both fitment and colour match look spot on - here's a dodgy pic with the flash to show the paint.
I couldn't line up the skirts without removing the old ones, so will update when o get a chance to fit them.
I'd say fitment on the valance was perhaps a little better than my Stuart replica (soon to be for sale).

how much extra did he charge to paint it?

I bought a valance and side skirts from Kirill a few weeks ago (sprayed in the moderately-rare-for-a-Celica 6R4 green) but haven't had a chance to look them over yet. I can investigate and let you know if you'd like?

damn was hoping for something brighter than standard halogens. will still hunt around and see what i can find. cant be doing with bulbs that are dimmer than standard halogens.
I've had these since Feb and they're hella bright and light up the whole street. "800 lumens". Don't look directly at them.

Mine have been pretty great so far! Only thing I'd say is to not bother with the rust protection, paid extra for it on mine and they still got completely coated in rust after a few weeks so I had to paint the hubs anyway.

There's usually a massive container in the shape of a petrol can at recycling centres!

I've got something similar on my Gen 7 - can the glass be adjusted on the 7?

i bet they wasnt cheap neither lol ....
Not overly expensive though! Got them second hand.

JDM wind deflectors!
Also got new gearbox oil, front spacers and some LED upgrades last week, ready for when I get the car back from being repaired.

Is it just me or is there a large South Walian contingent on here?

My dad and brothers all had an interest in cars and modifying. This was one of about 3 cars under £5k that I could look at for more than 5 seconds without getting bored! Was also a little quicker than my old 1.4 Polo but not so quick I'd get shafted by insurance prices.
If it helps, I'm also 24 and a web designer/developer.

I have to drive a courtesy car for the rest of this week - not looking forward to it!
My brother has a TT but he's yet to let me in the driver's side...

Cheers man! Probably a little too stiff for me.

Hi mate - what are the rough Shore ratings of the three different composites?

Yeah so I got it cut but it doesn't work. I actually got two cut just in case from two different keys.
I ended up just snapping and dremeling one of my old keys to the smallest possible size.
