I love how low down the seats are in celicas relative to the foot well. More like a cock pit ^Agree with the above

Assuming you are all on about the Audi TT for want of look stupid lol, they are horrendous IMO. Driven loads at work and German quality my ass. Not driven the newer shape, the sleeker one. If that is the one you were all on about I apologize

This is where battery guns come in handy, they crack things off, can be a pain otherwise. I always use my small 3/8 gun for clutch plate bolts, however they are smaller and easier to crack off
As said if using hand tools I would imagine another person with a bar fighting against you would be best -
The 0-60 didn't change much maybe 1 or 2 seconds at most.
1 or 2 seconds is a big difference 0-60....

@Freaky - That is exactly how I did it and as said had no problems and because of the explanation you just gave I understand why now, makes sense Maybe people need to be advised to make sure the threadlock does not set before fitment
@Duck - I have no recess in the back of my wheels so had to shave all 5 studs off both sides for the wheels to fit as my spacers are only 17mm. You can normally easily tell if the wheel is not flush while fitting as it will not simply bolt on like it would if fitting correctly. At least you got it sorted -
Surely you would have felt that? If the rear wheel was oscillating noticeably by eye then you would feel a horrendous vibration
-
I didn't - I saw the same conversation in a previous thread to just finger tighten and then the lug nuts would tighten them in, and not use the 2 nut method.
This is the method I used which was advised by Freaky and I have had no problems, used blue loctite too

Brand new Denso pollen filter as my old one was in this state;
-
Hmm I should use some foam, got some from a Benen Tow Hook packaging. I stopped mine rattling with insulation tape, still works but foam may be better
-
I used it before with no issues so will use again :-) heard it's made by shell or something like that anyway
-
Ah right Yeah seems a good price so just going to order before I keep pushing it back!

You on about the filter mate?
-
Due an oil and filter change, used this last time;

Haven't had any problems and runs sweet with it, bought an oil filter from them too.
May just do the same again but with a Bosch filter from them which is like £3.48...

Just wondered if anyone had any better recommendations ? -
The above would only likely be a problem if the ET was quite high with a wide wheel as more of the width would be in the arch? Also coilovers helps that problem smaller strut

Sounds like XXR 527's at a guess from specs
-
What is the white in the background?
Hard to tell tread depths in a 2d photo but those look really "Tired" if you will excuse the pun.
If behind me in convoy in wet please stay wellllll back! Cheers.
Looks like the suns reflection mate lol
-
I think you may be seeing a tread pattern
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
The fine cracks between the tread is a sign of the rubber perishing mate, not tread.
-
Looks quite deep, but as above, if you can see cords then it is illegal and will fail an MOT. Also you can see it is worn and starting to perish anyway (Cracks down centre)
-
Yeah but even with blue skies today mine seemed to be a lot worse

Thanks guys found plus gas on the world of the bay so will order some up
I Do need to get an impact wrench soon as well
hopefully a lil lube and gentle persuasion it may budge ( sounds kinda wrong sorry)
Once you get it moving, don't keep undoing it. Undo it, do it up, un do it a bit more then wind it on again etc. Works any dirt or rust on the thread out of the nut you are taking off so it doesn't build up

My car is covered in it. I gave it a quick blast off yesterday and now it is covered again May give it a proper wash Sunday but don't want to find it covered the next day...
-
Diesel is oil so not surprised that it works as it doesn't evaporate like petrol does and just runs through.

so alex do you have to find bolts to go on the end of them to hold engine plastics etc or do they come with nuts too
I think you mis understand mate. The plastics surrounding the engine bay I use normal plastic clips. The anodised bolts and washers replace the bolts holding the VVTLI cover to he head. Also I replaced a couple of 10mm bolts holding the headlights in and the wings etc. I will try to get a pic up at some point
The grass is not greener...
