  1. I get a lot of "Love that shape, best one by far" or just general stares from people - especially at the petrol station. I don't know if this is a compliment of something, but I also get a lot of 'God, aren't they low down?? Never noticed it before!' - actually, the 7 is REALLY low, Corsa has what looks like a whole foot of height above the 7!

  2. I also use Shell VPower Nitro - I ran my tank completely bone dry of the premium unleaded in there before emptying 2 jerry cans of V Power in to it as well and reset the ECU... immediate difference. You might also pay a little bit more at the pump than standard/premium unleaded - but if your car is anything like mine, you might find your MPG going up slightly, making up for the cost. The additives in VPower apparently clean out some of the engine components - allowing it to breathe more freely, so after a while - you might start noticing increasingly better results. :)

  3. Does sound like warped discs and/or pitted/lipped, since the sound is only almost consistent - the only way I can describe it is a waving noise, increasing and decreasing slightly in intensity. ALL my discs on the 140 were warped and made a similar sound, used regularly aswell, though the cold weather had likely done it according to the garage. Definitely warped though, they gave me the discs back and they were shagged.

  4. Yeah, service history just shows the history of servicing, regardless of who has done it. So long as you change all the filters and fluids, and record the mileage and what items have been replaced, should be fine. :) I always service my own cars and I always record what I've done and changed - etc etc, never had a problem with it when it comes to sale.

  5. Haha.

Plast X mate you get it off eBay for about a tenner delivered but it lasts ages.

Well whenever you wanna pop round dude you can :) should be in after 5 if you want to have a look :)

Ahh that's the stuff, I'll get some ordered when I get home. :)

Nice one bruv! I will pop round at some point, it may have to be next saturday/sunday though if that's okay - as I'm in scarborough with our lass today and the car is on a day's insurance and will drop off at 12pm today, so gotta get it home in a bit, then go to the seaside in her car. :)

  6. I'll take it all mate! You never know when you might need a part! Whilst I remember, what was that stuff you cleaned up my headlights with? It's the same on this one, slightly hazy/cloudy? I need to buy some ultimate compound too, and new wax - i used it all on the 140. :P

  7. Haha, yeah mate - took seeing a few sheds to see a beauty. This one needs the wheels refurbing as scuff on the odd spot... but generally, the car itself is mint. Lift kicks in at 6200rpm as pulls like a train. I think it's got a stage 2 clutch, it's basically on or off, manageable - but took me a mile to get used to it. Here's some more pics :)

Notice the scuffing on the spoke closest to the floor, has one of those about the same size on the other side.

They look good sat on 18's, I always preferred the 17, little less twitchy I think. But yeah - lots to crack on with soon! :D Can't wait!

Darryl, what stuff is this you speak of? :P

That reminds me, sat in the pub in Derby where we went to look at another Tgrey one, that one in my first post - and it was a friggin' shed. I mean thoroughly a shed, and a guy overheard me talking about the car I want and he shouted - in the poshest accent - GOOD LUCK ON YOUR QUEST SIR! lmao, I was like... I want him as a friend forever. :P

  8. Yeah could be, does say black but there's an off-black tint to it that looks like Storm Blue. Looking like it's going to be the lagoon blue or the thunder grey prefacelift ones up at the top, at this rate. Whichever way I go, I'll have it for less than a year, I plan on FAFF'ing as soon as possible. But I do think a 190 is more sensible at the moment - don't really want to bust in to my mortgage deposit savings. Lol!

  9. Hahaha, you might be right there Guy (nice name btw! LOL!)

I text the dealership with the thunder grey 162k and said I'd drive down and have it today (providing everything checks out) if he takes 1200 for it, considering the mileage. I wouldn't be keeping it for the full cycle of an insurance policy anyway - as I'm job hunting and the bracket of pay I'm looking at, I'll be able to go out and buy a nice FAFF on the first month's wage, lol.

Also made an offer on this of 1950; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390590462296&ssPageName=ADME:B:BOC:GB:1123 - least favourite colour though, but it looks well looked after with low mileage.

  10. 155k miles seems a heck of a lot, and over the average for this year of car; but what do we think? D:

Ahh it's okay Darryl, I know exactly what to look for now as I've read damn near everything on these forums of issues and stuff to go wrong! Lmao! I do think the best thing for me is 140 > 190 > FAFF too, I'm in love with FAFF's, but I think jumping up ~110bhp is dangerous, I have a Chronic Brickfoot Syndrome as it is. :P HAHAHA!

  11. Urgh, still gonna be heart wrenching to find another Celica that looks as good as this; (Which reminds me, I'm gonna need the rear windows 80% tinting again. EVERYONE should do that to their Celica, sets it off right well. :P

I totally agree with you Arizona, the grey one does look REALLY well, and with a private plate, rear tints and facelift front end, it'll REALLY set it off nice! :D
