Most of the young guns will shoot me down as a traitor.............but I grew up driving rear wheel drive and prefer it. After all F1 is rear wheel drive. End of argument! Add to that the squillions of MX5 to choose from and also that is why their aftermarket is so much better served. Numbers!
Other side of coin? Less rust issues with yours. You know it & love it.
Car purchases and women do not have to be logical to be right...................................

I have tried all variants - Vpower, Optimax, Momentum and standard 95 RON over the years and honestly cant tell the difference between any of them but then again I dont do that many miles so maybe dont get chance to see any differences
Snap!
I just use Sainsbury's Hi Octane to comply with handbook.
That and the cashier has big
smile.
She loves BB.
Sadly young enough to be my daughter.

Nice one Biggie
I was doing the tyre pressures on Sunday before driving to the ACE meet and the guy next in the queue said he didn't realise they still made "Those".
They stopped 10 years ago, I advised.
"Really?? I haven't seen a 10 year old car in that condition outside of a showroom!"
To be fair he was at the rear quarter and couldn't see the bloody stone chips.........

5/30 fully synth is manufacturer recommendation I think although 5/40 is as popular as the miles increase. Fuchs have an excellent range. Here's a link to Opie.... http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-2354-lookup-results.aspx?vehicleid=10612&variantlist=128370:0,128382:0,169995:0,98847:0,131667:0,98925:0,98318:0,98370:0,98436:0,141866:0,98583:0,99134:0,98676:0,121878:0&yearFilter=2003
I put your make and model in, so as you see 5/40 is fine. Just message Oilman in the corporate section if you have any doubts. I generally use the Fuchs GT1 because I pamper the old bus to bits. It must be -
Used grey primer Darryl. I'd never have thought of white! It's been compounded with Farecla G3 regular, Menzerna Intensive Polish 2100 & Farecla G10 super fine compound. I've compounded the whole panel too Daytona but just can't get it blended in properly. It's proper shiny but just not quite deep enough black. I was trying to get it finished for the Scottish Car Show on Sunday but it's lashing down with rain so I can't get anything else done! I've got clear coat so I might just give that a try after Sunday. Thanks guys
If a good pro is doing just one panel he will try to avoid going "edge to edge".(s)he will leave an inch or two border and feather the new paint into the old for this reason. This also applies to metallic because the chips can lay differently depending on many variables. This is so even if painting adjacent panels from the same tin of paint on different days!

Also try compounding and polishing the rest of the car too. Red has the most notorious fade but other paint changes over time too.

Storm blue is a black base coat with bright blue metallic chips. It looks black from a distance but shimmers blue in sunlight

For the sake of a tenner I would rather have a brand new version of what is generally perceived to be one of the best out there. Cheap does not always equate to value.
