  1. I've not had a cancellation yet...but like you say it's too good to be true,

Worth a shot tho! ;) haha

I had a cancellation email come through, was worth a try though I guess.

Exactly, but it took mytyres much longer than it should to amend their error.

I think somebody must have received an bollocking this afternoon.

The alternative option is that they did it on purpose as they have now received thousands of new customer details today??

  2. Wow that's dirt cheap on there! Any idea how long it's on for?

No idea how long it's on for, but I wasn't taking any chances in missing out. Possibly even worth buying another 4 to sell on

    the prices on Goodyear Assy 3 are amazing - just a shame I don't need any at the moment 4x 225/45/R17 = £102.40 :-O

I don't need any right now, but will be needing some within the next 6 months.

  3. As a few others have said the back seats in a Gen 7 are also virtually unusable for anyone with legs! The only 2 major differences imo are age/price FWD or RWD.

More modern car and I'd have bought one when they came out had the rear seats been usable and bit bit more oomph from the engine. Wheels and spoiler are marmite. It handled well enough on its skinny Prius tyres. Been up against a couple on track. Found them a little faster at the end of the straights but my handling still had it though the complexes. A lot of deals around on them now as they have not sold as many as Toyota wanted.

I never understand the Prius tyres comment (unless it's sarcasm that I have missed), because as far as I know GT86's have 215/45 R17 tyres which is exactly the same as a Gen 7

  4. Thanks Maizey, I have been meaning to get some of these for ages, but just never got round to it!

Here is a link to the listing: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310404508888

Also regarding using cable ties, they don't work very well. Since I got my car most of the clips were missing so I used cable ties where I could (not possible in all holes as the back of the hole is not always accessible). I have had to replace all of the cable ties at least twice as they break.

The last time they broke the under-tray bent over and under the car and was making a horrendous noise as it rubbed on the floor, but if I kept the speed over 25mph it was fine

  5. Here's some Photos for additional comparison...

Think 4300k is too Yellow for me or I was just being used with 6k... Might consider trying 5000k next time and if anyone fitted 5000k? I would love to see some Photos for Comparison... I know it's there at ebay sellers but much better if we also have some Here as it's more accurate being posted by fellow members :)

Thanks to London Colour for their excellent after sales customer service... They even sent me a FREEPOST envelop for returning the faulty Bulb ;)

I have 5000K HID's from londoncolor, but I don't have any pictures atm. I will try and get some up when I get a chance. Although I think it will be hard to compare them accurately due to conditions and camera settings.

  6. Installed the bulb holders and a bit happier with the light output. But it's still not enough! I tried fiddling with it as much as I could but will be posting up pics shortly

How do I post pics with tapatalk? X_X

The reason your light output is low is probably because you have 8000k bulbs, hence why most people use 4300k, 5000k or 6000k!!

  7. how many peeps have used this kit here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330379335700 from Londoncolour?

just want to know what the quality is like and how the reliability is. i dont want to end up with blown electrics or the lights cutting out on me when im driving in the dark.

i would love to have hids but the poor quality of the kits is whats shunning me away.

Yes, as below, I got mine from there last November & they are still working great. The delivery from them was also very fast :)

Just ordered mine from londoncolour on ebay, went for 5k in the end. Looking forward to see what they are like :)

  8. They are similar enough in performance that I would say it will mostly come down to the person behind the wheel. With both of them in the hands of 'The Stig', I would guess that the EP3 would be marginally quicker though!!

Don't like the look of that new Civic at all.

Manufacturers have virtually no option now but to go with turbo engines so that they can meet emissions regulations, gone are the days of 2zz and k20 engines!!

Agree with supersai about the EP3's gear stick position though

  9. im looking at buying some today, but what ones should i go for the cheaper ones or hids direct ones in the first link 57 pound? also im gonna go 6000k can anyone suggest sidelights that will match the colour

I got mine from here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330379335700 (5,000k) delivery was excellent, as are the bulbs. Ballasts come with a 2 year warranty and 1 year for the bulbs.

    And I got these sidelights:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400476530771

  10. HID's are a lot brighter/whiter than standard bulbs (not sure how they compare to osram nightbreakers though). To me they also seem to cast a completely even light, no patches or darker spots!

They only cost me £30 including bulb holders, but I imagine if you paid a garage to fit then it may be quite expensive!

I'm sure there would be some local members to help you fitting them though!
