I've had the aero ones off ebay on mine for almost a year now & they're still going strong. When they DO give up, I'll be having another set!
-
If I was you, I'd go for the set in the 2nd link Kev16v sent you mate. They're guaranteed to fit. I got the ones you've linked & they still wouldn't go into my wheels. The internal drive ones will
-
I'd be interested in getting my dashboard & centre console done mate. Maybe not all at once but that would depend on prices etc. The grey of the pre-facelift interior is getting me down

^^^^ yesssss^^^^ diplomacy's a dying art they say. MY ARSE!! Get it right up them
-
The coloured polish will definitely help hide it mate
-
Somebody's at it mate!!! Time for the baseball bat of justice methinks

The 2 part filler from post #9, the second one. worked a treat
-
NO WAY mate. The blue is gorgeous & unique. She obviously has no taste, unlike her dad!
-
It's usually about how good it looks for its age. Am a bit pee'ed off that nobody says that about ME but the car makes up for it. I once had a young girl ask me if it was a Ferrari though. Obviously I told her the truth
-
Give it a bash mate. You've nothing to lose & you might end up with a decent spare set. Like I said, I used a Dremel to take off the loose stuff, high build primer to bring the level back up & elbow power with wet & dry paper for the sanding. Metallic silver rattle cans, few coats of lacquer & jobs a good un! 25 quid for paint beats 50 quid a wheel for a pro to do it, especially for the winter

^^^ I did this too ^^^ then a rub with t-cut & a coat of wax. Sorted

"Aren't you a bit old to be modding a car".
Get this quite a lot. Yes I am, do I care? NO - always wanted to do it and am going to bloody do it!
My daughter delights in telling me, because it's lowered, "In a few years you won't be able to get in that car" - wanna bet? I'll get in it if it kills me.
My youngest tells me that too but it might be because she WANTS it for herself! She can't even feckin' DRIVE yet!!!
-
No probs Sara. Next time you're up, leave your wheels with me for a week!!!

NO!!! Read the thread and all will be revealed to you
Oops! SORRY

Does the mot certificate not say " to preserve the date on this certificate, you cannot present the vehicle for a test before....." I think it's 30 days prior to that one expiring. If you test the car before that date, does it not invalidate the current one?

Cheers Bill, I'll nip down to Thornton tomorrow

Refurb has started! Loose paint removed & wheels are roughly sanded ready for primer. Is there anything I should use to remove any dust & contaminants before primer? I seem to remember something about alcohol wipes? Or is that my drink problem rearing its ugly head again
-
Take the sign to the car.
GENIUS!!!
-
Winter wheels. Let the refurb begin!
-
Yeah, it's a 2 part mix. I think I'll go for that when the time comes. Cheers Dublet

Anybody ever used this stuff
or this

They look amazing! I hope to get mine looking as good as that although I'm only going to use them as winter wheels (although that might change if they look good enough) How did you fill the deep scuff on the edge mate?
how do these work ?

Would the tapered one on the right not sit in there better? Just a thought
