  1. Depends on the wheels too. I went from Audi Titanium Grey to Bright Silver on my black 140 & I couldn't be happier with the result! But, as said above, a lot of folks are going for darker colours. I just like the contrast between the wheels & the black. It makes my red calipers look brighter too! Result

  2. Just wanted to get some opinions on this folks. I'm toying with getting my wheels powder coated come Spring & was swinging towards white. However, I put a photoshop request up & thanks to Hodephinitley, I'm no longer sure!

He did them in Bronze, Gold & White so what do you folks think?

Again, a big thanks to hodephinitley for making it a tougher decision than I thought :D

  3. I'm 54 & have spent the last 30 odd years buying & driving family friendly 4 door cars, due to the fact of having 2 kids( now grown up) & 5 grandkids( NOT so grown up). This is the first car I've bought PURELY for me & I have to say, it rocks my world. Bonus is, the grandkids (and the wife!) love it too so happy days.

I work in Logistics for a Bosch Group company, btw, certainly not an office & the Celi gets driven like she should. I look at the redline as a guide on when to change gear!! :D

  4. I got mine in Sept 2012 & she still puts a smile on my face every time I get in her! She gone through a few minor changes since I got her(mainly wheels) but she's nearly exactly how I want her. I'm going to get the current wheels powder coated shortly a nice bright silver, tidy up the paintwork & she'll be done (I hope!)

  5. Mine's Astral black guys & I've rubbed it back now so no going back! Looks & feels pretty smooth so I'm going with the lacquer tomorrow. I did go through the paint a little on one edge(right where it'll touch the bonnet) so it's been resprayed & rubbed back again. I'm not even sure if it would've been visible when fitted but I'm taking no chances! All good this time :) Thanks again for the input. Pics will follow when it's done, hopefully Thursday( Scottish weather permitting)

  6. I'm in the process of painting my sports-m scoop from ray & i'm looking for a few pointers. It's had 4 coats of primer, been rubbed down with 1200 grit wet & dry, & now had 4 coats of base coat. The question is, do I rub down again before applying the lacquer? It's got a bit of an orange peely look at the moment but I'm worried that if I rub down, it'll make the paint a bit dull. Will the lacquer restore the shine? Should I apply the lacquer THEN rub down before the compounding & waxing? sorry if these are newbie questions but I've only ever painted wheels before & tbh, I wasn't too fussed about the finish. This time, I want it to look spot on. Cheers folks
