Could be advan Advan TC
Very JDM, and potentially valuable after a refurb, and pending fitment.
Not bad

The only thing putting me off doing my own minor is not getting a stamp..
Does anyone on here consider this as an issue? I've had no qualms in the past as my cars have had incomplete SH to begin with, but with the celica having low for its age mileage and FSH it seems a shame to lose it. It'll be going to my usual mechanic though should i decide against doing it myself.

I got my 60K major service done at Toyota. I dont recall it being be particularly cheap but as it was it's firsdt in my ownership and hadnt seen a Dealership garage (Or one that I knew to be good) in a long while I don't mind paying for the extra peace of mind you get with a stealership following the correct schedule etc.
As for the minor I agree it's pretty much looks to be a very pricey oil change with some half assed visual inspections. That one i think i'll claim for myself and save a few quid.

Well done sir! And beautifully written too.
I remember when I renewed it was taking a whole on ask mid, was driving around very nervous of the BIB, expecting just such an incident.

Instinctively flashed lights at another blue gen 7 today, and got a wave back
Had a few around York and hull when I first got the car too.
Good times, lol.

Found this site the other day and was chuffed to find two gen 7 Celicas in the sport car section. Just a small novelty really but entertains me

Used them both recently and they work well, really easy to install too.

One thing that's bugging me with HIDs lately is a total lack of quality control and product variance.
Basically thought my girlfriends car could do with some hid goodness but despite ordering the same kit from hid direct I'm running on my celica they're proving a right hassle this time.
First off the bulbs, both supposed to be 5000k were obviously mismatched with being noticeably yellower than the other. I sent these back and got a pair that were a closer match, but more yellow than those in my celica, again supposed to be the same 5000k colour temp. I have ordered 4 'upgrade' bulbs from another supplier with metal bases and ceramic insulation to see how they compare. The logic in ordering 2 sets was that I should be able to find matching bulbs for each car.
However the Fiesta's kit is going back again as one of the ballasts seems to be dodgy as one side is intermittent on and off.
Just seems a bit of a minefield with what sort of product you end up with.

225/45 16 on an 8j
215/45 17 on an 8j
A little stretch but nothing drastic

Great composition.
+1 for sticky

Work meister I believe, gonna do a quick google. certainly JDM keep hold of them!
Confirmed, seem to come in a bolted split rim or simple two piece as above.

Rota also copied them with the D1, but they loom far too chunky to be those.

Personally I'd go silver or black too. I like the idea of matching it to the wheels too though!
Previous owner of mine went for red, matching the calipers, and I must say I'm not a fan. The worst part is he actually did a good job of it :s it'll be awkward to strip and reprint when I eventually get the time.

I bought the current edition today and noticed that in the back too. Must be an incredible machine
Theres also a page on why a gen 6 GT4 makes a good buy as an affordable Jap performance car, alongside the SW20 MR2 ofcourse

215 is minimum width, this should provide minimum if any stretch. I'm sure I've seen pictures of this setup on a Celica, and it looked perfectly normal.
You are correct in saying 225 would be ideal though. I confess I've not looked at what is available to get close to a stock rolling radius or if there would be any rubbing issues with the extra width.

Does anyone have pictures of how 215/40 vs 215/45 look?
I'm looking getting some 17x8 wheels and know that standard 205/45 isn't an option.

One does have to wonder as well with a car from the mid 90's, is it a good thing to use higher octane fuel at all? I mean the stuff didnt exist on the forecourt when these cars where new so they wernt designed to run on it. So maybe it would actually be detrimental in some way???
Fuel in Japan is higher octane even standard as far as I have known, so anyone who is driving an imported car would benefit from using performance stuff as the car would have originally been mapped for it.
As said previously though after a couple of tanks in my uk MR2 the only effects I felt were misfires as the plugs had fouled badly from the rich mixture. (again high mileage so not saying it was purely the fuel)
I've not tried it in the Tsport.

I've never tried my g7 on anything but normal fuel tbh. One thing I will say though is my 3SGE mr2 never really agreed with higher octane stuff. After a couple of tanks in a row it seemed a bit Mis-firy, with some fouling to my Plugs. Car had a lot of miles so may have been some underlying issues.
I use normal shell when I can but I've never been impressed since they changed to their 'fuel save' type.
now its looking much more shinier now the rocker cover
