Not quite in the post but I did pick it up this morning

Sounds like nitros would be more what you're looking for imho. Give the boost when you want it without a huge weight issue otherwise.

Go on. Stick a Saltaire on it! You know you want to.
The Government might take it as a yes vote, don't want that!
-
Just opened mine as well, actually very tempted to leave it as is so it stands out more against the black paint ;-)
-
What they said.
The brake fluid reservoir doesn't contain enough liquid to cope with the wearing down of the brake pads completely. So you might be better off double checking those and replacing them if they're a bit thin (just like tyres, they work less effectively as the pad wears down).
As doublet.says, it acts like a pad wear indicator so that would always be my first port of call.

for getting cutting residue out of stonechips perchance?
I tried it last year with not a lot of success. Where did I go wrong? Just got some black polish out of desperation!
Don't know what you did wrong, I'll be trying it this weekend so I'll let you know how it goes

I think what you're looking for is called a hangar bolt. It has a screw thread at one side and a bolt thread at the other. It's usually used with wood but I imagine it would work every bit as well with plastic

Haha, as usual I paid not enough attention to what I was doing, followed one of the links on here and bought the wrong size without checking!
19 & 21 inch. Twat that I am, lol. Back to eBay for the right ones now
-
For eight quid the eBay ones are pretty hard to argue with
-
Probably everyone has a different opinion, and I would imagine there's been a few conversations about them as well, but what's your favorite wiper blade?
I'm using Bosch but they're not lasting very well for the price of them, and being Scottish that's important, lol

Okay, a bit of searching t'internet and it appears there are many camps, but most of them agree that red rubber grease is pretty brilliant for it so thats what I'm going to use.
Thanks me - Yer aright man!
-
What's the usual grease people use for front calipers?
I use red rubber grease for the rears as they sit in a rubber tube but I've run out of normal grease so I need to get some more anyway.
Cheers

Discs and pads from Stew at Freaky, thanks man

On older cars I used to just stick a magnet in the sump. It wasn't going anywhere and it did the same job.
Just meant you couldn't take it out to clean it but hey, no one was looking to see if it was clean ;-)
