I use Halfords as well although I stretch mine to 5K miles David
Granted though it doesn't get half the hammering yours does [emoji3]

I've used this on other folks cars, now my chance to see what it can actually do.

Cillit Bang - well that's what I used. I hope I don't live to regret it.
I think you would know pretty quickly

Carb cleaner is pretty much all the same. Do remember to use it in a very well ventilated area, it's very good at dissolving the mucous membranes of you lungs as well as the gunk in your throttle body.
Cheers Limey, I'll keep that in mind

Thanks guys. I'll pick some up for the weekend.
I assume then they're all much the same?

I've got a throttle body ready for a good deep clean and I need to remove the carbon build up from the ICV.
Can anyone recommend a good carbon remover, I've never needed to use one before

A cardboard box, which I'm assuming is my strut brace [emoji3]
Update - it's an extremely well packaged Megan Racing strut brace in excellent condition.

The guess denso have to be better than after-market as they recommend to replace after 80k. Thats a lot of work that sensor has to do over the years.
Not worth skimping on it. You'll probably not have to buy another one.

Mines has been okay but I swapped it out last week as the tuner saw it was a but sluggish.
Margaret's TF though would run for a while then when the fuel trims were too far out it would start to play up. With her car I disconnected it and put the car into some programme where it just averaged out values and it ran better until I swapped it.
Not a clue if that would work on a Celica though.

Tested the Tesco Momentum fuel this evening - rock solid 28 maximum knock after a good thrash. Based on that I'd go as far as saying it's better than the Shell stuff.
Mines is mapped on 99 so I always fill up at Tesco. I'm not a good enough driver to notice great differences in fuel types but I do abhor having to fill up with 95, so I put just enough in to get me to the next Tesco.

If you've got a sensor on the way out, O2 for example, the car will keep reading the weird codes for a wee while before it goes "aye, sod this for a game of soldiers"
Check any codes first would be my advice and if your lambda is more than ten years old it's probably not a bad time to replace it anyway.

A'PEXi SAFC or Power FC. What car is it on, and what mods is it supporting?
Its a Power FC on a 140 Gen 7 with a Pipercross panel filter and a Powerflo Exhaust. Nothing too complex as yet but I have a NOS kit for this summer and intentions of boost in the next couple of years so I need a tuner I am happy with.

Well the garage gas a sign up saying 100% satisfaction guaranteed so I'll be testing that I think

Just need to get this off my chest for the moment
I got the Apex'i tuned a couple of weeks ago and apparently it was a bit all over the place. It was definitely running far too rich on WOT at 10.1. Fine, it was good to have a bit of confidence in the tune on the ECU but then it started cutting out when warm but not hot. However the AFR meter had nice stable 14.7 readings on an even pedal which showed me that it was running fine on closed loop.
So, back to the tuner who says that for some reason it started going really lean between 50 and 60 degrees, which he says he fixed. He also noted the oxygen sensor was a bit sluggish, and at 130K miles old I figured I should change it anyway. So I did that (thanks ams) and the car stopped cutting out - hooray!
So the car is actually running great, compared to before the initial tune I can feel a smoother power delivery (I'm not going to pretend I felt every BHP extra as I'm not Lewis Hamilton!) but the AFR meter is now a bit erratic. I think the 10.1 AFR readings at WOT had clogged it up a bit so I replaced the sensor as well today, only to find it is actually either running rich or it is the meter itself which is goosed.
So I'm away back to the tuner later this week to get it booked back in to get checked out.
i'm starting to get a little bit peeved as you can imagine!!!!
Anyway, thanks for listening, I do feel better now and I'm away to get my medication!

New wideband sensor. Now we'll see what's happening with this latest Apexi tune.

Take the top off the bottle and stick the tube in a bucket of clean water then let it run through.
