  1. good work

i took the wing off to do mine... but still took same time

thanks mate, im a bit of perfectionist so i guess thats why it took me that long lol xD

ahh, sounds reasonable enough....certainly thinking about it :)

    as above, very straight forward:)

Hi, i remember this one, Now Looks Great . . so well done for getting in there and sorting it . Oh and you've saved yourself some cash as well  . . . . even better.

thanks mate, the total cost of getting a door was £110 at the end, £60 for the door and £50 for petrol, as i had to drive from southampton to birmingham:) if i was gonna have it fixed it would be something round £350+V.A.T. so yea bargian:)

Good effort on doing it with the wing on mate! Never tried doing it that way as usually the wings are the first things that sell on the car! May give it a go if I ever have another one with the wing still on.

its a lot easier mate:) less bolts to remove lol

  2. Hi guys as some of you might remember a while back i had my passenger door vandalised. took me a while to sort it out as i was quiet busy. i was thinking of getting it repaired however the cost of it was wayyy to high! so i decided to get a new door. i would like to thank AMS very much for supplying me with new door. contacted him on 01/05/12 and picked it up yesterday. so i decided to have a go and fit it myself, done it today, took me about 2.5 hrs as i never done it before( ohh and ams i managed to do it without taking the wing off:D ) and im very happy with the result. Right here are some pictures of damaged doors and new ones.

here are the pics of the damage...

thanks everyone for advices on what to do and once again "ams" you are a top bloke, thank you very much!

  3. i would be parking on that road again and just watching for any cars coming past with damage that lines up with yours if they are a collage person then theres a chance you might just see them

That's a good idea  , however i wouldnt want to risk another part of my car get vandalised :P

All day long your best option with that damage.looks quite high up,probably a pikey flatback wagon or a school run mum-mobile.Bastards.

Just had a quote today and to get it fixed it would cost between £120-£170. well, getting new door is defenately best option so far.

  4. That's not a scratch! That's the results of a fucking arsehole.

College you say - checked the cameras? You'll be surprised and you should also report it to police as they will use all surrounding buildings' cameras. Best of luck and sorry to see it!

unfortunately there wasn't any cameras around where i was parked:(

  5. but i'm guessing it was in the street, and not in a car park?

i reckon your best bet is to just get a new door.... can't remember if mine was £60 or 80 from AMS, but it's much easier/cheaper than knocking out and repainting that one!

    :(

yea it was in the street.

i agree with you mate, its less hassle to just get the door changed.

i had a quick look on ebay and you are right prices range from about £60 to £90.

will look into it in more details, will keep u guys informed with progress. hope to sort it out soon.

  6. Just finnished college and went back to my lovely blue gen 7 celica, i got there and i realised there is a massive scratch and dent on passenger side door!!! Ive phoned up the police but unfortunately there is nothing they can do as there is no witneses:( and no cameras! so yea what seemed to be a routine trip to college has ended in additional cost:(. i really just wanted to cry, cant belive my little baby got damaged:( badly. does anyone know a good place down south(southampton area) where i can get it fixed?

    Thanks guys
