I'd get some osram nightbreaker bulbs if its that dark, you'll be able to see further and miss all those little critters
-
I had them on my last wheels, then bought a new set and would say their good budget tyres, like said above they not so good with standing water. But got to say they where great in the snow last year and the year before, got me safely home 17 miles from work in deep snow :-)
-
Spray them white or get some of the gel type ones in white that a member does on here? Thinks its likwid art or something like that

I was looking I to this, there's a place right near my work but I'm no where near you I'm afraid
-
No worries :-)
-
It has pins mate
-
Out of interest, was the breaker based in Wiltshire?
No mate he was up in Scotland, Arbroath Angus if I remember correctly.
3m clean and strip discs will eat through any stains, rust etc....
Cheers I'll try that :-)
-
I've had the wet and dry on it but its not budging the last bits
-
Cheers fellas I'll just keep going then lol
I'll have another blast with the wire brush on the drill and keep using the metal polish,
It's starting to look a lot better but there's just still the odd spot of brown crap that needs to come off
-
I bought a stainless catback off a breaker on eBay, obviously the last owner of the car didnt care!
It's only the tips that need cleaning. I've wire brushed a lot off with the drill and wet sanded but there's some very annoying bits that won't shift.
Anyone got any tips? Or products they no of?
I've ordered a metal polishing kit so that's what I'm trying next.
Any help appreciated :-)
-
Thanks for the advice mate :-) I was wondering about the fact the metal would be smooth and not keyed so the laquer wouldn't stick properly, I think I'll give the autosol a go
-
Cheers fellas! :-)
I'll laquer it then when I've polished it up!
-
I've got a spare rocker cover on its way and I'm going to polish it to gt a nice mirror finish, is there anything I can do to protect it so it doesn't start looking crap again?
-
The fellas not sent pics yet!? So hopefully he will, price is stupidly cheap for all 4 shocks and lowering springs
-
Cheers for that mate :-) I'll have to see what colour they are when I get the pics
-
I'm not sure what colour yet, I'm waiting for pics, there's lowering springs as well but not sure what type, could be koni
-
Been offered some nearly new koni shocks, are these any good?
-
I'll order one of them because I'm not putting my wheels on for another week or so but good tip with the tape
-
-
Spot on mate!!! That's the kind of thing I was looking for!!! :-)
Will that fit my wheel nuts?
-
I've just refurbed some gen 7 alloys and I really don't want to scratch the paint when tightening up the wheel nuts!
I don't want to use tuner nuts so has anyone got any tips? -
No haven't changed it, are they expensive?
-
Well I'll be in touch soon mate! I'm trying to find a decent gt at the moment but I do want to keep my wheels!
And a brew and a biscuit while I wait sounds good to me lol
