[emoji119] Cheers Matt! Finishing up for work shortly so looking to get it wrapped tonight...how's your new one coming along?
Is that it for engine bay then or have you got any more plans?
I'm waiting on a load of sheet metal and a few other bits, I've got a plan for the engine bay. Hopefully I'll have everything for the weekend.

Beatrush rad cooling panel...nice finish, anodised champagne gold...not for me.
Will be wrapped later. [emoji48]...at least it will be protected.
Glad you've finally got hold of one mate!

Aw Matt...that's just the half of it mate.
Basically I got sent 2 cv joints in March, only got around to sorting recently and realised they were wrong (up for sale on here if anyone interested [emoji16])
Contacted, sorry over 30 days can't accept them.
No exchange policy either even though they sent wrong part.
Ok...they couldn't tell me when correct part was in and to check back.
Checked back, available again. Ordered.
2.0l cv joint arrives...again.
Then they start asking me for the OEM part no. so they can cross ref....now, isn't that what they are supposed to do before selling items on their site???
I was also told that the Reg input is and I quote
"It must not be the correct one for your vehicle. The reg checker on our system is simply to get the general make and model of your vehicle but not your specific vehicle."
Of course it's specific, I build sites for a living and this 100% the reason they are on there...baffled by some people, seriously.
Cost me £13 to send back, they won't answer any, not a single one of my questions on the emails...really pissed me off.
Said I wanted the postage refunded...I just got an email saying thank you for contacting us...that was it [emoji23]
Gonna wait for the refund and slate online. Absolute jokers.
Idiots mate! People like that do my head in, they are the ones who should check They're sending the correct parts out.
I saw you ended up getting them from eurocarparts. At least they gave you the right ones.

Jesus...FedEx are quick! Knock at the door at 8am
Took delivery of Sokie Tech bonnet dampers.
Then received the text a minute after closing the door saying they were out for delivery...so witchcraft is involved.
Do they not know I've got a Black/Red theme going down [emoji23]
So, these will now be sprayed red to match.
Also got my correct CV joint (this time from Eurocarparts) through yesterday after a right mare with MicksGarage - will never use them again put it this way...shocking customer service.
They'll look smart red mate! I also had a nightmare with micksgarage! Ordered a new rad for my st, turned up late after I rang to ask where it was!? They'd some how missed the order?? Then the rad turned up and it was for a gt!

Now that's a weird design!

I've always thought that as well, must be restricting airflow!?

Can anyone tell me what is covering the top grill on the near side of the facelift engine bay, it looks like foam sound proofing but covers the same side as the air box? Directly Infront of the air box but appears to block not filter air flow.
Thanks In advance for any responses.
It's foam mate, I know because that's what I poked my trd badge into lol

Bloody nice though!

Having fitted both sets to multiple cars - there isn't a noticeable difference as the poly ones are pretty solid, normally when advising customers it goes down to price, if money isnt tight I would go for poly
either way its a good upgrade
Let me know if you need a set and i can discount the price I sell them on ebay for
You have a pm mate
-
I've just been out and had a look and I see what you mean! I think I'll go the poly bush route. Thanks for all the info
-
I don't want the changes to harsh and clicky, just not notchy and sloppy like it is now. It's 3rd that's the clunky one for me.
So poly would be a bit more like stock but more precise?
-
What's the pros and cons of both? I'm thinking about getting some but not sure which would be best.

Different side seat but you can see the difference the sponges made.

Has the colour worn away or does it just look faded? When I bought my blue edition the seats where dull and faded, I used a magic sponge on them. You can get them off eBay.
Bit of warm water with it and they came up like new,

The osram nightbreakers seemed to be nice and bright for about a week and then just ended up the same brightness as normal bulbs, so after my nightbreakers failed within about 8 months I just got some bulbs from a motor factors

I'm buying some soon and going for some good stuff, think I'm going for the Motul or the redline

It was 2.5 litres in my 25th and the same in the 140 mate. Is the gear box bigger than the 7afe on yours?

Opie recommended Motul gear 300 for cold shift protection for my 140, or redline mt90

I'd say so mate, you have the bonnet grill for heat to escape
-
I was looking at those, think that's what I'll go for
-
I'm going to be servicing my 140 very soon, at the moment I've got ngk plugs in but what denso ones did Toyota use as standard? Or are there any better ones?
-
I had one on my gen 6 but I bought it used from eBay, couldn't fault the build quality though
-
Your best bet is to find an auto paint place that can mix something up to match the others. Otherwise you'll have to just buy a few silvers and find the best match yourself. Can you not contact who you bought the car off and ask what paint they used?

I have no idea how you stop mate! I've tried but nothing works!
I was looking at that bumper idea when I had mine, it looks so much better than just the gt4 bumper! So what engine you wanting to put in? 3sge?
