  1. PIAA Super Silicone are great, exactly as MYK said. Streak and squeek free.

You coat the screen with a wipe when fitting them that treats the screen, go above about 40mph in the wet and the water just beads and runs up and off the screen.

It's also a fun way to completely soak cyclists if it's tipping down. :D:twisted:

  2. collect a wing for me and willing to hold it for me till the bsb meeting at brands hatch in july there would be drink in it at the rochester premier inn please

    Fixed that for you Roy.

I would like to thank everybody for their kind offers (at least i have saved the price of an evening meal !)

If i'm honest i'm not overly surprised considering the first impression you made elsewhere in the club. Fair play to shocks for offering to help. Please don't be as rude to him as you were to Nix.

  3. Will do Lee, think we are heading for cribs once done (wife wants to shop obviously), maybe meet there for a coffee?

    Have you heard of infinity?

I know of them, but haven't been there. A couple of guys in work rave by them and have used them several times without issue. Last one being a V6 406 Coupe that they've made sound amazing (and sets off car alarms when you start it! :D) . Splinter wasn't as happy with their work, but i'm not sure of the circumstances around that one.

I've been meaning to head over there and see if they're any good, so can meet you at Cribbs on your way there if that's okay? I'll drop you a text next week.

  4. I agree with ORC on this one 150DB is stupid amounts and i am pretty sure not even Moto GP bikes produce 150DB....

150DB would make his ears bleed.

I was in my mates lightly modified Pug 306 when he got pulled for his exhaust.

Took 2 readings, the first one clocking 90/91db, at 3500rpm, the second clocking at 89db at 4000rpm. Got a £30 fine and asked to swap the exhaust. The cop was so determined to nick him, he didn't even notice that a numberplate light was out which he could of got a warning or something for. Just shows how narrow track minded cops are.

Quite a few of my other mates have got done for even louder exhausts, one clocking 150db!

The only thing was none of the japanese cars were pulled over for 'excessive noise'... seems weird really as then its quite unfair, though im not complaining :D

It almost certainly won't be 150db. Unless your mates vehicle is a plane. The average comercial jet liner only makes 150db at a push and that's at take off, EuroFighter Typhoon goes to between 140 and 180db dependent on whether they bang it onto full reheat.

ORC sums it up well, it wouldn't necessarily make your ears bleed but you would be deaf as soon as you drove it.

  5. Good shout Arizona.

Got my renewal notice yesterday, shall be spending a little bit more and getting 6 months in order to break up the car spend slightly throughout the year. That's still £135 or so though.

A full year on a Gen 7 (190) is £245 thanks to it producing 201 carbons, 1 less little blighter would have meant £205 instead :(

  6. But if you get Bosch or PIAA I'm sure they will be quallity

I've got a set of normal fit PIA Super Silicon blades .Brilliant wipers. They come with a teflon screen wipe that you use when you first fit them that coats the screen, then the wipers top it up as you use them.

They're cracking. The beads of water on the screen are smaller, no smears at all. Even clearing the small amount of snow from the screen yesterday, just wipe and crystal clear.

They're a bit pricey though at about £40 a set but Motaman in Bristol offer CCUK discount and i guess that a few places up north would too.
