  1. For those that don't know my car is down at Bek's,along with a BEAMS engine that's being almost completely renewed in preparation to be CCUK's first (and almost possibly the UK's first ) Gen4 st162 Celica running 200BHP BEAMS power. This came in the post this week at Beks, after a great discussion with Paul and Trevor at www.tcbparts.co.uk,so big thanks to them again for sourcing the parts and bouncing some good advice back and forth...always recommend these boys.Almost all this stuff is genuine Toyota partsTiming beltHydraulic tensionerIdler bearingTensioner bearingAircon being stripped out so shorter belt required for that and alternator, plus non aircon pulley replacementPAS beltWater pumpFull engine gasket kit, so new head gasket, cam cover gaskets, front and rear oil seals, o rings etc etcHead boltsThermostat with lower opening temp, 76 degreeFull Clutch kit, with cover plate and bearingThe exhaust manifold to downpipe O ring gaskets, exhaust downpipe be fabricated to fit my stainless system (yes itll be loud)and some sundry bits n bobs. All good!BEAMSBITS_zpsde897037.jpg

Awesome! Got a completion date in mind?

  2. haha well ill know where to send the next person who needs one. i could have a go, how about measuring the groove in the shaft? i would think it should probably be about 1mm bigger than the groove and loose to touch but not enough to come out of the groove. maybe in the 300 you could get an assortment of sizes around the size you need then find the best fit from there. just make sure you have a good way of testing that it well held on before clipping the boot on.

  3. seems i have some bad news mate, turns out the outer cv shouldnt be removed from the shaft as to replace them you need to buy a new shaft therefore the snap rings are not available seperately. maybe you could compare the snap ring with a company such as this - http://www.springmas...din-7993-a.html

(think theres always going to be a minimum order though so you would end up with snap rings coming out of your ears) or maybe buy a couple of shafts from one of the breakers.

its a strange one as i always thought the joint could be knocked of and replaced like on most other cars.

    hope this helps mate
