  1. Got my Gen 7 GT spoiler today; really well packed and looks brilliant. Can't see any problems with it at all, just need to go get it painted and fitted now!

We were all kept informed every step of the group buy, communication was top notch. Really can't fault RT-P, definitely recommended.

  2. Still enjoyed it 'down' your neck of the woods (for me in Cumbria). The A1(M) is in a dire state at the mo - 50mph average speed cams everywhere!! - so decided to go towards Northallerton before getting on it to get to Scotch Corner.

Tell me about it, I was stuck on it last weekend. Loads of the exits shut off, and 50mph average speed camera everywhere. It's not even a short stretch of road either, seemed to go on forever. Thing is, even with the average speed cameras, I don't think the traffic flow ever got above 40mph

  3. Rattles are the main issue I have with the Gen 7; though it'd help if my doors would stay open when I'm getting out. Nothing like getting home from work with a load of files to carry in when the door won't stay open  The door mirrors dripping water is a pain as well, makes getting a good clean a pain when you have water lines from the mirrors.

  4. I've been nodded at by a Gen 7 owner (same colour, same trim and everything  ) which was nice. I don't tend to flash lights incase it gets taken as a police/camera warning, but I'll generally nod/wave to other Celica owners incase it ends up being a club member :P

Also I just today realised there's another Gen 7 on my road, but I've never seen it move once. I seem to notice Celicas everywhere now I have one :D

  5. Currently about 40-50 a week, but I do live within a couple of miles of work so it's not like I need to travel far to go there. Hoping to get more drives out this summer, hell maybe this weekend now I have the radiator fixed. :D

Today felt like thousands of miles though, was stuck behind an old guy in a Suzuki Jimny, doing 25 on a 40 road. Didn't even risk overtaking him, dude was all over the road

  6. I knew it'd happen sooner or later, but was hoping not this soon- I've managed to scrape my Gen 7's rear bumper while reversing. Not much of an impact as I was going slowly, but enough to leave a pretty large gash in the bumper. I'm still getting used to this car, having not driven for long (I know, why didn't I buy something disposable first), but this made me realise that the rear visibility isn't that great on a Gen 7; as stupid as it sounds I'm having some difficulty in judging where the backend stops.

I know it's mainly because I'm a new driver and will get used to it over time, but did anyone else have any problems with the rear visibility when they first got the car?

I'm off work Monday/Tuesday next week, so I think I'll spend a bit of time on the car; poor thing has been abused since I got it
