My name's Darren and I'm currently employed in the NHS doing secretarial work in Middlesbrough. I've loved cars since I was a kid but due to University costs I never managed to get my own until I was 25.

First car was a 2001 (X) pre-facelift Toyota Celica in Lagoon Blue. 140bhp base model, had done about 98,000 miles when I bought it. I ran it for a year and ended up part exchanging it. Decent car but had no power whatsoever and was pretty uncomfortable for long journeys.

Second car was a 2004 (04) Honda Civic Type-R in Nighthawk Black. It was a facelift model EP3 with an aftermarket B-Pipe (fitted by previous owner). Much more comfortable than the Celica on longer drives (although a lot more deafening!) and much, much quicker. Great car, but mine was riddled with problems that began to surface, leading me to question the validity of the service history.

New car is a 1999 (S) Nissan Silvia Spec-R Aero in Pearl White. It's a fresh import from Okayama, Japan and arrived completely standard. These make around 250bhp at the flywheel and the engine is a SR20DET (2-litre turbo). Very rapid car on boost, a little laggy but not terrible. My first FR car so I'm still getting used to the way it drives but I'm absolutely loving it so far.
