Yep, it's a pain of a job
To be fair, what I have learned from owning this car is that nothing is simple. Not even changing the damn spark plugs!
-
I take it scratch free aswell ?
Yea pretty much. I spotted 1 small scuff, but otherwise nice and clean! Still had the fittings attached so made it a little easier.
Took the guy almost 2 hours to fit it. He said it was the longest its ever taken him!

All good now!
When the police came over, I explained that I had no expectations of them finding them.
In this case there was no theft, no motive, just a complete assnugget!
Working out a camera solution.
If anyone wants a quick cheap solution, a FOSCAM camera twinned with a PC running 'iSpy' seems like a good choice.
The FOSCAM camera is IP and has built in motion detection and sends an email/SMS when something is spotted. It also allows remote access from browser/phone.
iSpy allows connection to IP cameras to enable a form of continuous recording as well as other features (and its free).

I think if we answer that - it's the same as posting on facebook that you're off on your hols
Fair point. Rather than specifics, I meant more of a type, as I have no idea what I'm looking for!

Out of interest, what sort of cameras do you guys have?
-
Mindless scum , have you got a local community board facebook? Someone may have seen/heard something
Whereabouts Surrey are you?
I'm in Chessington, and no touching the spoiler
I'm so paranoid now about scumbags - and there are plenty around here, I've gone high tech for peace of mind - i.r cameras permanently recording.
I'm looking into IP Cameras now. Maybe a sentry gun and a flame thrower turret too!
Blue or brown, depending on uk or jdm - did you make sure the glass is scratch free, I've seen some so badly scratched, you have to lower them to see out.
Mine is blue. The guy at TCB said that there may be some light scratching, but they will send the best one they have. Fingers crossed, but now you got me nervous!

Just mindless scum. Luckily the car was blocked in by my wife's 206 and the stereo is still in place.
As my neighbours say, in 26 years there has been 2 vehicle thefts there and no known issues with vandalism.
Gonna be working from home tomorrow while waiting for glass delivery. Never knew they came in 2 tint colours!

I've sourced a window from TCB parts. £66 inc delivery and VAT.
Autoglass wanted £465 to replace it. Not sure who is worse, the scumbag who did this or the crooks at Autoglass!
