  2. Yep, it all sucks. You get your pride and joy looking how you want it and being a "head turning car" then some low life's have to go and spoil it by doing acts like this! It was actually month or so ago one morning I went out to my car to find "fuck u" written on the drivers door. I thought it was my brother but he promised it was not him, so now I am on edge at nights wondering if the car will be safe etc which is not fair!

The other thought that runs through my mind is the kind of area I live in isn't exactly nice, and I'm worried if I report and the police investigate, the person who has done it knows where the car is parked and could do more damage to the car out of spite, meaning more then a £20 bill to me for a number plate. There are no CCTV cameras in the car park, so wouldn't be able to check etc.

I keep meaning to post pics up, which I shall do tonight, but I actually got off lightly- nothing a bit of compound won't sort lol

  3. Hey, thanks for all the replies :)

As soon as I got the reg I looked it up, and matches what my neighbour said the car was, but that's all.

I assessed the damage this morning, and think most of it will buff out, thank god, but still iv had to pay out for another front plate as don't want to get pulled by the cops for having the damaged plate in the windscreen, for which I have kept for evidence. I also rang up 101 today, which they have taken down the situation and now have to go to my local police to show documents and take statements, so will have to wait and see what happens afterwards.

  4. How lovely is it to come home from a workout session to find some b*****d has gone into my car :(

My gen7 was parked infront of a garage in the car park we have outside our house. Whilst my mum was reversing her car into a space I saw a white plac on the floor and no white number plate on my car, jumped out and someone has reversed into the front of my car, taking the number plate clean off and scratching the front bumper. The impact was also that bad that it pushed my car right back into the garage I'm parked infront.

No note or nothing, just driven straight off, the low life's. but aha I have luck on my side. A while later I went outside to check all the other parked cars Incase it was them, when a neighbour turned up and said she heard the bang of the impact and the damage and managed to get the number plate of the guy/car who went into me- thank you very much. I know maybe not much can be done but going to report it and see what is said.

But at the end of it all, taking positives out of negatives, the damage isn't huge, scratches can be buffed out and I have a friend who spray paints cars for a living so he can help. I was also thinking of getting new plates, so this now gives me no decision but to get new ones :)

Just annoying really as I have worked so hard getting the car nice and for this to happen etc. I have taken pics, albeit in the dark, but will assess the damage tomorrow in daylight

  5. I was in my mates lightly modified Pug 306 when he got pulled for his exhaust.

Took 2 readings, the first one clocking 90/91db, at 3500rpm, the second clocking at 89db at 4000rpm. Got a £30 fine and asked to swap the exhaust. The cop was so determined to nick him, he didn't even notice that a numberplate light was out which he could of got a warning or something for. Just shows how narrow track minded cops are.

Quite a few of my other mates have got done for even louder exhausts, one clocking 150db!

The only thing was none of the japanese cars were pulled over for 'excessive noise'... seems weird really as then its quite unfair, though im not complaining :D

  6. I have the same problem with my JDM. When the 'LIFT' went in my car, and after the lift bolts were changed and it still didn't work, I tried many readers for it not too work. I then went to a toyota specialist who managed to successfully read the code with their import reader for £20.

Maybe go to a garage that specializes in Japanese import cars, as toyota usually use the british ODB readers which wont work. I hope this has been some help?
