  1. i fly in and around maidstone, in the process of doing my plastics inside, satin black with a purple flick with the dash flocked black and the other plastics a dark purple, engine built and run in, under body of car all powder coated and changed/replaced, hifi fitted but changing again, and waiting on new seats to arrive. think only thing that remains when done will be carpet but even that is getting re cut this year, every panel was cleaned and then painted where it had ten years of use so its pretty much new, got a facelift bumper waiting to be sprayed and then fold in wing mirrors stripped ready to paint and then fit.

thats about it, currently car has no interior panels or rear seats or boot all out at body shop.

if you need any help drop me a pm, always about and dont mind helping people.

  2. Was that the polymer coating? Haven't sent the email off yet been tb testing cows in the rain all day. Joy! However have managed to get the pistons out of the knackered caliper using their process guide so may just do it myself now.

if you have got that far you may as well carry on, mine where sent complete they stripped and re built with all new bits, and yes it was the polymer coating as it lasts longer.

  3. i can sell on the wind deflectors to another member before they are even shipped to you if you wanted, that way you will save on postage so they go straight from me when they arrive, i could then forward refund on to you, once other member has paid me if you wanted. that way you get 100% back.

had plenty of people asking if i had any extras.

  4. sorry but your been told porkies, i have replaced every nut bolt washer under the car including the camber bolts along with bushes and everything else, for all the bolts that hold everything together they cost me £360 from Mr T's so the £700 you were quoted just for doing the geo is way off.

if you need any part numbers or codes let me know i have every receipt in a file.

  5. replaced with space saver and a can of tyre weld, slight adjustment needed with how to keep space saver in place as the celica screw thing was way to long but a yaris one is much shorter and works a treat.

saves on a load of weight as a full size spare was 3 times the weight.

oh and a thanks yet again to AMS for supply of the space saver top work.

  6. clutch from any parts place will cost you £80 to £150. Labour from any independant garage will cost you around £150 to £200 the lower prices are if you pay cash, i had mine done 3 weeks ago paid £86 for clutch as i get a good discount from my supplier and then the fitting cost me £175 at a mates garage, as it was a saturday and he was busy.

just helping with prices to quote, sorry to hear it happened to you.

  7. I'm currently changing all my bolts under the hood, so far all rocker cover, wing bolts and every possible bolt has been changed for stainless steel allan key headed they won't rust and look really good will get pictures up later today as they do look good, not done the plastic covers as yet as they are currently off whilst I have them re coloured.

I could get a kit together if enough interest which will help people with doing this, loads more changed than I thought was possible, cost me so far £28 which I thought was fair.

  8. Must have seen you about that way, he is from chatham and can work out of a couple of places, if you say you spoke ot me he will give you a better price, name is darren, 07920 130373 really nice bloke does a bloody good job now had 5 cars done by him.

I made that mistake before. It took 3 hours and a lot of frustration to do one rear window. i'd rather pay the money.

Yeah i could have a little trip to Maidstone...I'll be coming from Medway...Rainham. Not far!

  9. This is exactly what I'm thinking of when I get my exterior fixed.... Any recommendations?

Look for either focal comps or Boston acoustics both speakers have a load of 6.5 components to suit all budgets but look at spending £100 per set for a worthwhile sound quality.

Will also need amp them to get full benifit from any speakers.

  10. Gunk engine spray, but cover over fuse boards with plastic bags along with air box don't run engine whilst doing it, but warm it up before you spray as it makes it easy to pull off the grease. Then wash away careful with pressure wash then leave to sit for half hour before starting up again. Takes all dirt off in a flash.

Once you have wiped down spray with auto glm vinyl and rubber and go for a drive. Looks so shiny after.

  11. nooooooooooooooooo! much simpler way, just take out the headlight then you got bags of room and easy access!

imo the PIAA one is to high pitched, horns must be DEEEEEEP and booming!

cheers fella, just need a dry calm day to get that done.

  12. i have a PIAA sitting in the box must get it fitted, with the gen 7 you have to take off the passanger side wheel and pull plastics down do you need to put any more wiring in or just connect up whats already in place?

must do it cause the horn is crap. loving the train horn though.

  13. It depends what your plan is with the car, I had my underside completely stripped off then all sand blasted and all parts powder coated or replaced, under side of car was wire brusehed and then under guarded so its protected for the long term. Bushes where all upgraded to poly you can get these from FCM motorsport and do the work yourself, I did mine as I intend to keep this car for long term its a project but it was not worth doing if only keeping car for a year or so, get yours on a ramp or a decent jack and have a look under it. If your thinking of long term do some if short term I would not waste your money.
