  1. I'd stop the car, take the offender out and choke slam them if anyone lights a ciggy in my car.
  2. I've been debating this myself for the last month or so... I might go for it today! EDIT - Just looked at the weather forecast and it says heavy rain at 1600... And rainy from midweek onwards. Not today for me.
  3. To be fair, I doubt the supercars are pushing very hard. I've beaten a 1.4 Punto Evo and a Fiesta 1.4 in a straight line
  4. Yip it's like that. I have toe out, like a racing car 8)
  5. I have these on my Premium and Sport pack. But I got them refurbed when I got the car and painted them black.
  6. So my wheels are leaning inwards and turning outwards?
  7. So the left side of my car goes / \ WTF? EDIT - No that's just my left rear! I'll leave that up though coz it's funny. 2nd EDIT - So I have toe out? As all my wheels are plus not minus.
  8. Thanks dan. I know what camber and toe means, just don't really understand the numbers. Like my Left rear Camber is -2º03' and Toe is 0º04'.
  9. And what the numbers mean. I had my wheel alignment checked, they said it was alright, but I didn't have a clue what the numbers meant tbh. Cheers
  10. Oooh so it looks like you will still pass with HIDs? The MOT failure was the main thing putting me off them. Interesting.
  11. I prefer my money coming out in big hits, that way I don't look at my bank statements and have a load of £10s everywhere. Just easier to keep track of imo.
  12. tyrereviews.co.uk is godly. Customers rate the tyres on dry grip, wet grip, wear, noise, comfort etc and to be fair a lot of them seem like car people and have a good understanding of what they're talking about. Oddly rainsport 2s have 90% wet grip and 80% dry grip lol. But yeah, check that site out. They also give links to road tests on the popular tyres by car magazines which can be insightful, if not at times misleadin.

  14. How would he actually scam you though? The only way would be to not turn up (which would be annoying, but no real harm done just sell it again) or turn up without enough money which again is annoying, but just move him on a resell. Just have a few heavies round when he comes lol, if he comes with his own heavies, put it on youtube please
  15. According to that import duty and tax comes to £116.80! Which is a bargain... Assuming I thought it would be hundreds. I've found a supplier of the wheels in the UK. They want £900 Obviously they import them as well and then price them up accordingly. But I put 0 insurance, as I'm not sure what the insurance is or would be? So I'm guessing that would push it up? £1551 for flights only? Is that per person? I'm going flights and hotel for £1300 for two of us, so a little over £600 per person.
  16. So to summarise, don't bring them back as luggage. Got ya. I'm flying with US Airways, stopping in philadelphia on the way there and Charlotte on the way back.
  17. I'm going to Vegas in 9 weeks. You reckon I could get them sent to the hotel then fly them home as luggage?
  18. Why 5 months? Surely it doesn't take that long to ship over? I'm really confused now. Is there no definite or concrete written in black and white price that I'll pay? I'm more than happy to end up paying about £200 but anymore than that is just rape. In fact that is rape! But I could end up paying loads more...
  19. Did they really make 13-14hp? I've got K&N so am pleased even though I got it for the sound more than anything...
  20. Jesus I thought the charge was 10% maximum? Still... £700 isn't terrible for a set of rare and simply pornographic set of wheels...
  21. I've found the perfect wheels for my car. Only thing is I can't get them in the UK so would have to import them from the US of A who have a far, far, far superior choice of wheels. What kind of tax/custom charges am I likely to get? The wheels + postage are roughly £500 and weigh roughly 20lbs each. Might cost and weigh more if I get tyres but you get the general idea. Thanks.
  22. I shall bring this up at the next Bluewater meet if I have the chance. It's a good idea, same it hasn't taken off imo.
