On a different note I ordered £700 worth of TVR bits and they never turned up, I contacted the seller and they told me to piss off as they had been delivered and signed for

Gotta be se7en if you want a rebuild and a tweek, many garages can rebuild but you can't guarantee it will last, just chucking new shells in will be a tempory fix and some buggers would carry this out and call it a rebuild.
-
He has edited the listing, did he thank you?
-
Not many garages will carry out the work or even give you advise, at the end of the day we have to cover our arses. The standards we work to and the products we use must be within public liability and product liability laws. at the end of the day you won't be keeping your Celica forever and if any injury or death was caused by the said modification whoever carried it out would be responsible.

The door control is like an ECU for the door circuit, it basicly takes information from different sensors/switches such as door courtesy, door lock position and the boot and it controls the central locking and the courtesy lights/door open warning light, they are different on various models taking into account if the car has wireless door lock and indeed how many doors.

Last time I ordered some, they had to look it up - there was apparently a switch from red to pink or vice-versa depending on the model year...
I'd just like to say a big thank you to Sheep and another club memeber who contacted me by PM (and so I presume wants to remain nameless?) to quote me for the parts I need.
I'm still not 100% sure what I'm going to do yet, but I'm very glad to see the club-spirit is alive and well. In fact, I'm feeling rather guilty about my affair with newcelica.org
Parts departments usually have to check up or even ask us techy's, but the 190 always came with pink in the UK.

I would advise against really as you would have to fix the new belt webbing to the recoil mechanism which obviously has a wound up spring, if your motor was involved in an accident and the belt failed it could be fatal or your insurrance invalid.
-
Just paint the plastic on the seatbelt clip red?
It's the whole webbing he wants red, much like the old MG Metro's
-
Sheep has sourced me lots of engine parts all in under a week
And yep its longlife red I have owning a 190
Should be Longlife pink on a Gen 7.
-
Trouble is that the Gen 7 seat belts have pre tensioners built into them to work in conjunction with the SRS.
-
my gen 5 from 1991 had ABS but it still had a speed sensor in the gearbox?
Indeed you do, thats why I put "Older cars yes", Its the same with many circuits in a car one sensor can provide the same info for more than one aplication.
-
thought most cars had speed sensor in the gearbox????
Older cars yes, but as newer cars have ABS what is the point of putting an extra sensor on to measure speed when you already have 1 on each hub?
-
I can sort these out no problem, it depends what your head unit is like. Genuine Toyota HU's and the sony unit fitted by Toyota are fixed in place by 4 M4x1.25 short bolts but some after market HU's including other Sony's use flat tipped self tapping type short screws, PM me your address and I'll post a mixture out to you as for the brackets if the are correct for the dash but the holes don't meet up with the HU just drill some more, if the brackets are incorrect PM me your chassis number and I'll check out the part number's you need and I'll also get a price.

Still havnt got hold of them bolts to hold it in place but I'll hope for the best with friction! Lol
Comments welcome. Headliner would be sweet to have next!
Which screws? I could post them to you as a freebie.
