Yes. Get your tank on fuel-light, empty the can into your tank, then fill up with petrol.

From my experience with online taxing you'll get the new disk long before the end of June. I've been doing this for as long as it's been possible and my discs have all come 2-4 days after the transaction.
-
When have you taxed it from? If from the start of June and you carry the receipt details you'll probably be OK - as the man said, technically it's an offence not to display, but the police have access to the Swansea database in real time so they can check immediately whether you're taxed or not, and will probabl;y turn a blind eye to the failure to display bit.
OTOH, if the tax is from July 1 you can't legally drive your car until July 1. Also bear in mind that if you are driving an untaxed car your insurance will almost certainly be invalidated, in which case the police can seize the car immediately.
Oh for the days in the dim and distant past when you could stick a beer-bottle label in your tax disc holder and get away with it!

Loving his shoes
Trousers could do with shortening, though...

Thanks guys. Pissing with rain here so I haven't had a chance to do it yet but hopefully tomorrow will be drier.

Jam doughnuts for me, although a few cream slices would be very welcome

Personally I wouldn't go anywhere with a chunk out of the sidewall. That's the part of the tyre which flexes with every bump and every change of direction, and a sudden failure would be catastrophic.

This has really got me stumped. The interior lights are on all the time, unless I turn them into the off position. I can't find the boot sensor, I suspect it's under the boot trim so I'll have that off tomorrow.
Where will I find the integration relay?
-
Had them out yesterday, doesn't look to be a problem with them. I'll be checking the boot lid today, and also the interior lights - they don't come on, but I may have them switched-off at the moment. I'll need to check the relay, too, if I can find it.
Thanks for all the replies.

Great, thanks guys.
WD-40 seems to be the cure for most ailments.

Mine has just started coming on and stays on all the time now, even with the doors and bootlid closed and the ignition off and key out. This is causing problems with my intrusion and remote locking alarm.
Anyone know where on the door or the frame the sensor is? I've had a good look but can't see anything which might be the culprit.
Car is my Gen 6 UK facelift Vert.
-
Excellent, thanks guys.
-
Where would be a good place to get front brake pads for my 1999 Gen 6 Vert? Local place has quoted me £80, which seems excessive.
-
I like the idea but what does it cost?
-
Cheers, mate.

On a trip down to Pompey yesterday I noticed a humming sound which increased with speed from around 30mph up to around 70mph, then seemed to stop. Decelerating the hum started again. In my earlier days it generally signified a failing wheel bearing, so when I got back I jacked the car up and checked the wheel/hub by slightly twisting it (which was how I used to check the older cars I had years ago) but there was no discernable play, No knocking on turning,so I guess it's not a CV joint problem and the hum is still there when turning left or right at speed.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions.

Damn! They don't do them with the right offset, just 32 which would probably stick-out too far.
How about Gunmetal with a silver car? Any comments welcome:
-
Yeah, I know I know, it's all been discussed before.
The thing is, driving home on Saturday night late I hit a large brick some tosser had chucked in the road, which broke one of my Lenso Reizen wheels and ruined a tyre... I need my car and I need to replace the wheels before the weekend as my Celica is my only transport (other than my bike and that's in for rebuilding).
So I've found a rather tasty set of Dotz GTR 18" wheels with tyres for a bargain price of £625 here http://www.madmotors.co.uk/special-dotz-gtr-silver-18-alloy-wheels-and-tyres.html
In previous discussions the comment has been 18" looks good but handles like shit, but talking to Julian (Spree of Spree LED fame) he has 18" wheels on his GT4 and reckons they're fine, so I'm seriously considering getting some of thes 18" jobbies.
Any/all opinions welcome!
Also, what size tyres are going to be best? The seller offers 215/35/18 tyres with additional upgrades to 225/40/18 tyres for £15 and to 235/40/18 tyres for £25.
As I said, comments welcomed!

Ok
-Blow up doll
Obvious typo fixed...

Looks super megafugly to me. YMMV!

Hmmm, can always try and get them to send it to me as a Gift and put the value as £120 so I dont get whacked,
Otherwise it comes to About £500 for the Invidia N1 Axle Back system, Worth it ?
HMRC are aware of that little ploy, and have their own sources of what is the true value of anything imported. If they think you're taking the piss they'll be down on you like a ton of bricks, and you'll have to pay the real duty plus a pretty high fine.

I hope they're what you want. I haven't had a chance to look at them, they're probably American, but might be of some help.
