  1. Well I offered... he sat on it, started it, checked for leaks, and agreed to buy it. It was in excellent condition.

Coincidentally, when i bought it new, I didn't testride it (or the same model) before buying.

    ha fair enough

My old boss would just buy new cars without test driving them, Mercedes, Jaguar...

    I wouldnt do that though...

  2. Details are on the log book about what to do...or V5 registration document as its now called...

They fill in there details then you both sign at the bottom, they keep part and you then send it off...

Id put it on all places at once Ive had the most success with ebay, just as buy it now, no bids and then usually the prospective buyer will come and have a look and buy it there and then, and then you dont have to pay the final fee as you just remove the ad, so you will only pay insertion fee.

Autotrader next best, then pistonheads last I'd say, Ive never had any interest at all from there. Theres also gumtree, its free, so worth sticking it on. Get your car about thats the best way to sell it :)

  3. The term "Death Rattle" did not arise from the VTEC but with the VVTI; I know because I have one. Which is not to say the VVTI is a lesser engine.

I think the term death rattle was around long before the vvti engine. It's not any car specific, the death rattle can effect any engine starved of oil...

  4. for a car that was £20k not 5 years ago, £8k is very cheap mate, that car has lost £12 in 5 years, in another 5 years the seller should be giving you £4k to take it if kept depreciating like that

Maybe where looking at it in different ways...

I understand what your saying...there cheap compared to what they where 5 or whatever years ago...

But im meaning i dont think there a cheap car to buy...like I wouldnt call £5000 cheap...do you know what i mean lol

  5. still cheap tho mate, i mean £2-8k for a gen 7 when they was what about £17-20k new where they not?

How much they was is irrelevant really...

He said all celicas are cheap to buy...I wouldnt call £2000 - £8000 cheap at all...

    You think thats cheap?...

Cheap to buy, not necessarily cheap to own.

Yes i know you meant to buy...but I just dont think that price range is cheap...
