  1. he doesn't mention anywhere that it's a hybrid. He probably just clicked the wrong button when choosing 'fuel type'

Pretty sure there are no hybrid Celicas. Maybe a couple of LPG ones, but no Hybrids....

insuring a 190 as a 140 is plain and simple fraud and means he is running without valid insurance.

oh come on this thread was a light hearted one a bit of a joke the petrol \ electric was the first thing i saw in the description and tickled me :D the rest of the advert was just icing on the cake

  2. been a while since i have done much to the cel (apart from washing and polishing it) so after last week having to fit a new clutch due to the excedy's springs on the plate deciding to fail i thought it was about time to do a few mods.

first a bit of cf wrapping , a new gear gaitor and a gear knob from Ade2659. didnt come out bad for first attempt. :)post-25970-0-97512500-1332252055_thumb.jpg

  3. i have quite a poor credit rating due to my past, so bank loans are out of the question, they wont touch me, hence why i thought about finance, the company that are sorting it for me have said the APR is between 20-25% over 4 years on £3500, but id get the exact amount once i found the car i like

i do have my gen 6 i could put down as a part ex once its fixed and mot'd

a quick look on ebay and the cheapers i can find a 190 for at the max of 8 years old is £3950, so basically £500 out of my budget.

you will find loads of 140's at that price but you will be hard pushed for a 190

  4. When I start the car usually when cold rather than hot there's a squeaky noise, not loud but I can notice it :(

Done it for a good few months

I assumed was the fan belt ready to go but thought I'd research first haha

Heard it's a bit of a common noise with the g7s?

Or maybe I'm hearing something and thinking it's not normal haha

Anyways, worth changing fan belt? '03 with 56k miles

yep you are correct they do go quickly on g7's have put 2 on mine in the last year its a 5 minute job and dont cost much from a good autofactors about £14

  5. so after 3 weeks since engine ripped itself apart . new engine in new shocks and lowered springs. new brakes all round and drop links. A good wash and a polish and then off for a nice drive. handles great now its lower and the shocks a bit stiffer in the corners really enjoyed a blast round the country lanes.
