I like the idea of a Digital dash but at a reasonable cost, I just fear you would struggle to satisfy everyone's taste. I did ponder the idea of doing one myself, seen as neither of my GT4's have ODB output would be a challenge and good if I could get it right. Problem is I could see me only getting so far and no doubt would be half a job.
For the moment in the 165 I have plumped for an Acewell unit, after finding my temp gauge is buggered. I hate the thought of gauges all over the show can look very untidy. Would be nice to replace the rev counter in the 165 with a screen to do away with the some what unreliable Temp, Oil pressure, Fuel gauge and boost gauge. Dont think a circular screen is financially available this said.
To be fair the Acewell has a few little features like average speed, lap timers, adjustable temperature warning and even a rudimentary gear indicator that you program to rev,s and speed for forward and an input for reverse not that that is of much use im sure most of us know what gear we are in. Oh and it has an ODO on to make it road legal replacement.
Would like to see what you evolve from your ideas, may be interested.

what are you saying man!!! transit vans are the best thing to drive in the snow, especially empty
You come drive mine for a day you will soon see what I mean, would help if half the ponies would pull their weight lazy buggers
-
The faff is fine at moving off, but as with every car its in the stopping you have to worry
You really want to try a 90hp 3.5ton rear wheel drive transit if you think you Celica's are naff. It has the ability to sit and spin without snow and ice!

I got a box today...
Inside said box was another box....
Containing these babies

Do it yourself mate. Im using one of these spray gun they say it will work with small compressors just as well http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Devilbiss-Spray-Gun-StartingLine-SLG610-1-3mm-/251038834961?pt=UK_Body_Shop_Supplies_Paint&hash=item3a7314a111
Ok so its not the easiest past time but I can do it im sure you can. I recommend you use a polyester base coat due to the fact it doesnt need baking and is touch dry in minutes reducing chance of bugs and other cack settling in. The lacquer is a little harder to do same principle.

Need to change the gas to R134a . R12 is no longer available, best if you change the reciever drier at the same time and fit quick coupler adapters to the screw couplers the R12 system used. If you were closer id see if i could borrow our kit from work and do it for you.

The better-looking GT4 steers better, is more exclusive
Sums it up, cant see where they get the insurance figures from though..... Either way I know which I would have
Any one else notice (one of) the weird thing(s) ?
How is www.itr-dc2.com a useful contact for information about Celicas?
Notice no GT4OC either?

Its nothing to what it used to be. Used to have cars stacked about 5 high and you had to just climb around trying to get what you want. Seen some rare stuff there over the years.
Like you say such a shame for it to sit there it will likely sit there for another couple months they if they can be bothered then might rip the engine out though it on the pile with the rest and then crush the rest.

Mr Furburs by chance? Did you get lost getting there I always seem to
Ian has enough on his plate with his current project, rather have my 3S-GTE too.
-
if you have bonked your head on the screen i sugest a little visit to a&e
even the slightest headbangs can mess you up
Agreed you never know. As long as you are okay, all you have to remember is metal can be replaced!
Anyway there are plenty of broken 5's out there
-
You OCD lot are just no fun at all, you just like to surprise us with your cleanliness.
-
The wheels on my faff may be up for sale
Really Lee? I thought they suited your faff.
Are you going to go for white Chronos or superturismos instead?
-
Ahh well that me out of ideas then
-
What alarm system have you got?
My faff has a toad which has an output wired into to control the central locking controller.
Sadly cant be much use to you as never fitted it.

If I'm really lucky, I might have a 205 sorted by then!
Good man! Thats what we like to hear!
more my price range at the mo
This may be so but you know it makes sense when you can! Your more than welcome to borrow the 165 but you will need a trailer
-
At least you'll be turning up in a Celica...!
If you want i'll let you borrow the 165
-
so basically everyone's fishing for one simple answer to one simple question:
Are you single?
*waits with baited breath*
Its not like you to be straight to the point
-
Ah at least it wont cause any damage.
Looks a bit like a Corvette with all the "decoration"...
Are we looking at the same thing Si??
-
Yeah not many around, does seem pretty straight. Be a good rolling project either way.
the wheel arches are fairly shot
Had to giggle at that, wish thats all mine had.

see thats one st205 owner marginally upset
the bonnet doesn't bother me its the nose, its almost as bad as the pre-face basking shark.
since im offending other gen 6 owners here the ST and the ssi are slow and pointless
At the end of the day there are many options out there, but if your happy with the 6 and could afford to insure it with a V6 then why not or there is always a put a 3sgte in there and make yourself a GT2.
Also I wouldnt worry about loosing money whatever you do with the car market as it is you are very unlikly to get back what you pay for anything.
-
They do look like they've been crashed into a lamp post, the bonnet looks like it's bent!
Does it hell!!
But each to their own

I think thats nothing more than a pile of semi mobile scrap....not worth £2000 in a million years....unless theres £2000 in the glovebox
Now you say that there is a bloke up this way bought a old tractor for like £700 from an auction of a Dead mans estate, tool box was lock but got it home and cut the lock off and found £20K in 20's in there!!

Think the Gen 4's as a breed are rare, most have died an oxide death.
Very rare indeed!
