Sold the little alfa last night and it's a toss up between the
Celica vvti 2000
BMW 318 2001
Both look clean and tidy with more or less full history but worried about the old vvti lump popping doing so many miles..... if it's lasted a 100k though?
-
See I started smoking again, drinking coffee as its cold now, living the single life so never have time for anything, must make time

A tidy shed? Is there such a place?
The inside liam, the outside of my car is always a mess and a state, 22 miles of back roads a day and up and down the motorway all the time....
-
Inside I mean.
I used to clean the celica every sunday inside, hoover, auto glym glass, vynal care etc but with the alfa I just don't have a care in the world, I have a wooley jumper, hoody, beeny, backy - rizla all on the front seat, ruck sack on the floor, gym kit and trainers on the back seat, just dirty!
Cleaned twice in 2 months.
You?
That's meant to say do you treat it like a palace or a shed
Bloody phones! Can't edit it!

Thread steal, what's on the avatar? Can see on the bb.

I always used the halo or brisk plugs with no problems?
-
What a wreck, Sad way to go!
No one off here then?

it does nought, the faster people accept that...the better. Short of cracking a block open, nothings gonna REALLY clean off all the carbon deposits in an engine!
I am going to buy you a can Johnny boy! You do notice the difference within a few miles, stripping out all that carbon from your engine just makes it feel alive! I put a can in the new alfa after 24hours driving and it's not in your head.. You really need to get a can and come back to us!
Without reading through all topics ^& pages, can anyone tell me what ratio to use?
It says it "can" treat up to 75 litres, so if I brim the tank (55L), can I throw the full can in or is that bad?
I put £50 in the Alfa and chucked a can in, you are ment to water it down quite a lot so you dont burn the shit out of your seals and such like, but noticed the difference within 10 miles
-
Yes they do

Any findings Angus and kishan?
I have 3 cans going spare at £18 a throw if any one wants them, ordered last night

I am looking at ordering an axle back system from Import Dynamics from the USA, I have been quoted £153 To my door, however I have no clue how much the import tax will be, Its alot cheaper to order the exhaust from the states, but would like a rough idea as to how much more I need to pay when Mr UPS delivery man turns up at my doorstep, with a nice new shiney exhaust.
I have already called UPS and they said they cannot tell until the exhaust reaches customs.
Has anyone had experience in importing an exhaust system from the states ? And can I be cheeky and ask what they charged you for import tax ?
When oprdering from the states I always found that an invoice and the value of something could be altered, when importing snakes back in the day, the nsnakes I was bringing in were $1000 each, on the paper work they were $100..... sweet....... have a word!

Wow, the "Relentless" Celica, I thought none of them made it out the scrap yard
Big wings must be the 'IN' thing

I would not go for the cheapest buddy, thats just seems madness, is it a child you dont like?
Narrowest Stage 1 is Britax Freeway or Eclipse.
I Had the Britax First Class Plus for my boy untill he was 24 months, fitted great, but still a pain, around £160.
what you need is what ive got, a car seat autobase. Basically you strap the autobase in as you would the car seat (ie climb in the cramped back of your celica, fight for room to move, wrestle with the seatbelt, bang your head, swear a bit, but then after a few minutes the auto base is securely strapped in. then the car seat will just click in and out! i will never buy a car seat again without an autobase! (even when i have a "sensible" 5 door family car.
im not sure what car seat you have, but our car seat came with our push chair, and the autobase was like an extra £35.
I always wished I'd gone for this but at 8 months he out grew what he was in, a silvercross baby car seat, I could of brought a bloody car for the cost of the pram and car seat, and it was used a total of 15 times now in the loft

Good man, wrapping is turning out to be big business all over....... I must admit I am shite at it, what did the training cost?
-
-
Show me a car that has not dropped quite a bit? Not just celica's, see some silly prices about.
-
Cheers Angus...... why do they do it
-
could easily put the extra mpg down to the warmer weather...cold winters make your car use more fuel...ipso factso!
But like I said, hope I'm wrong...if I try this stuff and a ploom of black shit comes out the exhaust...I'll consider it a success
Jesus...I'd hate to see your annual fuel bills
Need I say more than below, prior to this it was 360/361, give it a go.

car makes a knocking noise, dont worry, just the tappets a mate says

Dublet, I see what your saying and it does take away a stack of crap built up, the improvment after a can of this is something quite amazing, everything improved, also my max per tank was 361 and I pushed it to 450 miles a few weeks after adding, try it! Ill buy you one and if it works pay me back!
The easiest route is to clean the injectors in place because you do not have to remove the injectors (which can be a real chore on some import engines). Running cleaner through the injectors while the engine is running also removes many of the deposits on the valves and inside the combustion chambers. This eliminates the need for an extra cleaning step if the engine is full of carbon deposits. The job takes only 10 to 15 minutes, and you can usually tell right away if the treatment addressed the problem (engine runs smoother, idle misfire gone, etc.).

I'm running on a low budget, I moved out of the family home and life has gone to shite pretty much, just need a good runner for a few months.
Sleeping on a sofa, blah blah blah.... will sort it soon.
