and sell you a set of shocks at the same time :xmas_laugh:Best bet is to charge the battery overnight and take it somewhere like Kwik Fit for a free battery discharge test, I wouldn't normally recommend them but they can't really screw that up, this will conclusively tell you if the battery is goosed or not

I think it is a Battery issue...IMO...
If it was an earth issue?why would Daves Battery work in your car?

so how would you expect a dead flat battery to charge that quickly?yes, it was dark so lights on

did you have your lights on ?when you did this "charging"hes refusing to do it. he says if it does start after an our of charging then its screwed and theres no point doing it

So it's a battery issue then get it charged properly or get a new battery..yeah we did, his battery started first time in mine which is why we think it is the battery. didnt try mine in his though. daves convinced our battery charger doesnt work

would prob take you driving all day for a battery to charge from dead flat..

you need a battery charger..how long for? after we jumped it in tesco, i tried starting it again when we got home straight away and it didnt work. This sucks

that wouldn't be enough IMO...not if it was dead to start with..i would give it a good charge..no the other battery we fitted was dead but we did charge it for over an hour by driving it

It's the final drive that's different ratios..

* First Gear: 3.285:1
* Second Gear: 1.960:1
* Third Gear: 1.322:1
* Fourth Gear: 1.028:1
* Fifth Gear: 0.820:1
* Reverse Gear: 3.153:1
* Final Drive: 4.176:1 (EU Versions have a 3.944:1 Final Drive)

No i have been told this a few times...to do with gear ratios..s54 box is a s54 box regardless if its in a 3sfe or a 3sge

pretty sure ratios are different in the 3sfe to 3sge ,pretty sure they fit though..3sfe & 3sge engines use the same s54 'box.
s54-06a means open diff
s54-06D means LSD
Most are open diff, & LSD 'boxes are usually way more expensive (unless the seller has no idea it has an LSD).
As long as the car from which your replacement box comes from says the same 'box code you'll be fine.
(There are other LSD 'boxes, but as you have a 3sfe engine, it's unlikely you'll have anything other than an S54).

I'm running coil overs and the ride is fine,i even found it to soft on the lesser settings...i'm not running them stupid low though as i like to be able to drive over speed humps with no issues...
