change me to porto glasgow
-
Possible, yes. But for how long. Inline 4 engines have an inherent unbalance that takes it's toll for very high powers. It's why inline 6 engines are easily pumped up to 1000+.
the gen 5 GT4 i speak of has been running 400bhp on the standard gasket for at least 6 years, with no problems
-
i imagine its more than possible, i know of a gen 5 with just over 400bhp, and the st205 engine is meant ot be stronger and capable of much more
-
only dealing i have had is when they tried to charge me £400 for a fuel tank i desperatly needed
couldnt get one from a breaker at the time and managed to talk them down to £300 - bet toyota dealership still made a profit on that transaction
-
what toyota garage was it?
-
i will go see them if you want Adam, I would make them respray at least the areas affected and replace the rubbers
-
I've always felt my 6 could have done with a 6th gear!
totally agree, lost count how many times i took it out of 5th to look for another gear
-
best record was around 350 miles to a tank, but on average i was getting 25-30mpg depending on traffic and stuff, but its so long since i drove it i cant really remember
-
i dont like the fact i havent driven it in 9 months
-
just sold a gen 5 on 176000 and still drove strong, toyota engines are built strong, well most, they dont seem to make 1.8 engines very well
-
generally the celica calipers are crap, i have replaced my rears and both fronts because the brakes are pants, i have the sensation on my front o/s that its warped but been checked and always comes back straight, think tbh its a calliper problem more than anything else
-
he actually isnt, might drop him a we message
-
first one is zapf side skirts, really rare and ones i really really want
second car is a bit of a mungrel with bits of different kits
-
Can a GT realistically do more than 124mph? haha
both of mine managed more than that regulary (on a track of course) i remember reading somewhere that if you fit uk clock unit it de-limits it but the millage would obviously show from whatever car those said clock came out of
-
keep it, just check out my tropicana rebuild, bought the car for £600 a few years ago and spent close to £2k putting it back to the condition it should have been in, only component i havent replaced yet is the suspension because i keep mending other things, pretty soon though i will have a brand new gen 6
no-one said celica-itis made sense
-
all saftey gear is a good idea, i dont know how many times i have used a grinder without gloves i always wear safety glasses though being i only have vision in one eye anyway
to danny gutted for you mate, i think this car is out to get you
-
im guessing your hearing things
-
I would give you around £600 for it but no way of getting it home without an MOT
-
nix or bigb might have an auto box, just convert your own car,
-
well i can safely say im not far from this
iv been here since 2008, had 3 celicas, keep leaving them but always find myself coming back to them, even when i dont own one i love looking at them, so i to have Celicaitis
true dan
i currently have my gen5 and my original gen 6, but still find myself looking all the time
-
Well I spend all day on here talking crap, and since 2008 I have owned 4 celicas
3 gen 6 and 1 gen 5, after a recent trip to australia i bought a gen 4 which is in my parents garage, would be a fair old trip to go and polish that
-
Hope it all turns out good Bri,takes bollocks to jack it and have a go yourself fella
cheers mate its coming on here that keeps things light
also i have driven to inverness a few times and still cant understand why people live there, it takes half your life to get in and out
-
a lot of fuel economy is down to how you drive not how much it costs
for a run like that i would need about 4 or 5 pick ups and drop offs
-
Blood Bank did they catch you stealing blood again
cheers dan, good old celicaclub always cheers me up
Maasive Thanks To The CCUK Collective

whats even better is the celica love where a numpty buys some door cards then has to cancel trip to get them, but fellow celica nut is only too happy to collect them and hold onto them for original said numpty
