Thanks will look on pistonheads, tried to find something similer that would do job but cant find one with a curve, most are squared off now any ideas let me know thanks...
if that one on pistonheads isnt suitable your only option is to make your own,
this has pro's and cons
if anything it will mean less gen 5 on the road driving up prices because people want what they cant have, or someone will realise and start making sills, hell im tempted to contact a sheet metal company for a quote
-
there is one on pistonheads, i found a few weeks ago, posted it in the gen 5 forum, but im sure you could have a jump on pistonheads and have a look
-
I was going to get rid of mine ,but it just didn't feel right and it's better the devil you know sometimes..
you must not have felt right about it from the start, pretending your looking for a GT4 for someone else
-
thats the trouble ive been driving gen 6 gts now for about 7 years, but this one im quite attached to,i dont know why just everytime i say, right thats it im selling and going gt4 i just cant do it lol my mate said id be mad to sell it,that doesnt help, then i gotta another mate whos always telling me to go turbo!
forget what your mates are saying if you sell its got to be your choice
dont go turbo because people are peir preasuring you into it
buy a GT4 first and if its for you then sell the GT if not sell the GT4 on
-
haha
depends what you want mate, I have considered a GT4 a bunch of times. Usually go for a long drive in the gen 6 and convince myself "i cant sell this car" because I love it too much
but then again everyone is different if your car holds no sentimental value, sell up and move onto a GT4, I can count at least 4 gen 6 guys who have done it this year and all of them ran a GT for years

Thread steal, what's on the avatar? Can see on the bb.
get yourself to a pc mate, its better than izzy's

Hi if all you need is an o-ring go to a decent garage and you should find they have a selection of o-rings. i know we do at the garage where i work. im sure they sell you you one, just take your existing one with you to get the correct size.
im in love with your avatar mate

someone did wrap wheel last year some time, try hitting google

if your retro fitting an optional extra you do have to declare, if your putting on a part from a different model/trim you do have to declare and the same goes for aftermarket parts.
how can they prove this, I wont be telling my insurance company that my car has a toms lip or oz chronos etc because they are a toyota part and could have been on the car from new
-
DVLA not sure
if its an aftermarket part you need to tell insurance
-
honestly dont understand cleaning a car so on that basis i think your mad

Mines R34 has around 600bhp, a little more than a standard GTR
Having done a few trackdays, Id say definately handling.
I can keep up with alot of cars on the straights and many on the bends but I can nowhere near match another GT4 thats running coilovers, rollcage etc. They corner almost flat whereas im wallowing round on near as dammit stock suspension
lols got that a bit wrong, im sure it was still way quicker than similar powered cars on the show
-
watched a video recently and it featured a Mines skyline, with not much more power than a standard car, they had focused on engine responsiveness and said that was more important that the pursuit of power
in my world though handling is more important that power

from what i have seen on here over the years the rev 3 3sge if looked after doesnt seem to loose many atol
-
all the problems you mention above shouldn't bother you on a gen 6
well brakes maybe
-
why bother
not as though you look at the engine
-
if it sits long enough the pikeys will steal the shell
-
scrap metal dealers will come to you for the shell, some will even give you some cash for it
price of scrap at the moment is aroun £170 per ton, remember once you have stripped it it will weight less than a ton + they will use diesel and time to come collect
-
good fair price, seen them sell for upwards of £100 in the uk
-
brilliant price, in fact for that price i will have one
is it a supplier or an individual part listedon fleabay?
-
I like that
think its an improvement on the standard gen 7
-
send me your phone number mate and i will forward a guy in fifes number who has a uk GT sat on his drive for parts
dont know whats wrong with my memory these days but keep forgetting obvious stuff
-
how much is the corolla for sale for
im guessing you would be better going to se7en and getting your car supercharged
-
Defo a 202.
Unless it did have the st engine, but I kept up with an import gen6 that si (member on here) owns and lives round the corner from me. Other one im pretty sure was a gt and he couldnt get passed me. Got to a certain speed and since the missus was yelling at me I let him pass by going off the accelerator...
if your talking about Mondo's car its a 3sfe

get yourself a spare set of wheels
jack one side of car up with trolley jack + slip 2 wheels underneath
jack otherside and do the same, give you plenty of room to get underneath and because the car is level you will get all the oil out
