The XT,I definitely want a classic one of these days

great one Bob will probably be on the same plane as mine then I will be getting my other gen 7, the JDM celica from Ireland soon so don't spend all ya money yet lol
Yes don't worry mate,I have kept a little aside for the you know what,I take It you got some transport sorted then
-
I was feeling a little left out so have just undergone a little retail therapy, just bought one
-
Where can you get it re-chromed, I have a 'Rolla T-Sport knob that was worn, so I sanded it down to paint, but I want it chrome again!
Try these but there are plenty more firms out there
-
Looks great, may consider one myself. You can actually get the original cap re-chromed for a small cost, mine is ok at the moment and I try not to catch my wedding ring on it.
-
Never had a problem with them, had a set on my last Celica for 4 years and remained untouched, don't over tighten them and check your tyre pressure regularly then they won't seize up.
-
I think I have seen both the Supra and yellow MR2 before at a show in Doncaster, I would have gone to this one but didn't know about it
-
Monday to Friday,14 mile round trip for work, nowhere today,Lichfield tomorrow 160 mile round trip
-
cheers bob , yep its a sure worthwhile mod i think especially with engine plastics done (my next task after ive finished all the polishing
I am on with my engine plastics at the moment, posted picture on here and CF along with the rocker cover and pipes.
-
Great job Baz,a cheap mod which requires a lot of time, effort and patience, well done
-
Here's somebody who is just down the road from me,gives you an idea of what it should cost you
-
I am sending off for some of these, got some on my Rota GTR alloys at the moment but they have lost their finish. Is there any way I could have the old ones cleaned up and re-coated?
-
So which of the two are the best,Mtec or Osram?
-
Mine has a clear wrap on the front but I still have to be careful when removing it or it will scratch the plastic, you might be right about the colours though as my last red GT used to get caked in it and marked the paintwork.
-
I use my local one man garage, serviced my cars for the last 5 years and does a good job. Uses all Toyota parts and does everything to spec, normal service +MOT comes to £175 and stamps the book.
-
My import rear covers the holes no problem
That's great, I wasn't too sure about fitting an infill piece just to finish it off but looking at yours it looks fine
-
Demon plates are really good,I will be buying mine from them when I sort out my private reg ,going for the import rear plate as well, will this cover the holes from the original plate or will I have to fit an infill?
-
0-60 they are slower than the Gen7 190,i think they come in at 7.7 compared to the 190 which is 7.2
-
In all fairness they were a little bit odd! ahaha
I couldn't agree more,i must have been on something at the time
-

Great news Steve, maybe if I keep hold of mine for another 20 years I may get a write up somewhere, mind you I will be pushing 70 so the bigger problem will be getting in and out of it
Well done mate

Get some 15-20mm plywood and step it up in layers to a height of approximately 80mm, wide enough to drive up. A standard size trolley jack will then simply slide under
Of course this is for when working at home,I don't mean you should drive around with them in your boot incase of a puncture
-
What a knob, any comeback and I would pass on his information to the authorities explaining that when you signed over the car to him he drove it away without tax and insurance. Is he saying he cannot insure it or simply cannot afford it,not your problem.

There is a thread about the most annoying things that people say about your car. It would be nice to hear about the good positive feel good comments that you get from people who are simply passing by. Maybe it's the young kid tugging at his Dad's leg and pointing at your car,or just a simple 'look back'as you drive by. Sometimes it's the small comments like 'nice car mate' which gives you that feel good factor
