but in reality £3400 is a very steep price for a pre facelift 140 mate, id have taken that £2700 you was offered imo. you are basically asking face lift 140 money, the market on these has dropped and they just aint worth as much as they were 6 months ago.
with regards to putting no offers, thats not gonna stop people making you a offer, heck if it was me and i see no offers id still make you a offer, its just the way buys and selling cars goes. when you go to a dealer, there price is of the car is what they want, no ono next to it, get you still go in and haggle.
im not trying to sound horrible, and sorry if it comes across that way, but these are the facts im afraid

ill have a few cream slices too please, not to keen on chocolate cake, to rich for me
-
yeah i got a total spare car with one on, need to get it off before i send it to car heaven lol do love the flying bird symbol tho, so retro
-
I'm pretty sure they are meant to go round the same way of rotation of the wheel, whether or not they are meant to only go that way, I'm unsure.

mines a mk1 mate
looks a tad dull atm, but i have plans for it
-
well i decided to break the car as im sure people have seen in the for sale thread
the mr2 is a god send i swear, it has never missed a beat in 3 years since we have owned it, it has driven to Devon and back, the last mot it only needed new break pads and a sill welding, it just keep going and going, far more reliable than any of my past 5 or so cars (touch wood)
-
you obviously didnt do it right mate spraying is all in the prep work, dont prep well you wont get a good job
-
thats what a spray can is for buddy not hard to spray them up
-
you aint far from me, pop over and we'll put one on your car spliter also has the same wheels on his white gen 7
-
dont buy them, buy my lenso wheels
-
if it starts to cost them money they are goning to have more incentive to do it right not less mate, cos you will just take it back again and get them to do it again. id suggest you say to them, let me see the work through stages and for you to agree its good to move on to the next stage
-
all bits re not in the for sale section and tomorrow i have a mr2 to work on haha
-
well it looks like the im buying the mr2, its been ok'd by dad, just need the k from mum and im gonna use the celica to break and pay them off what they want for the mr2, then anything on top of that price i can keep

you dont know me very well, youll learn, im never attached to cars, just ask members that know me what im like car is just becoming pointless, the money im spending on it can go on a car with MOT and or tax, i hardly keep a car long enough to see it through another MOT so that wouldnt overly matter
i guess what i really need to do is speak to my parents as its sitting on their drive and im using their mr2 as my run around and see if they are cool with it sitting around for a while why i de mod it and keep using their mr2 till i gather some cash to get something else
-
what i really need is use of a ramp or pit then it wouldnt be so much of a problem cos getting under my car is not the easiest thing in the world. but it is also as you say Hou im more thinking what else might it need and when these cars are just over £1k for a pretty nice one and it already owes me in excess of £1500 with price i paid, bits iv paid out to fit it and the mods iv bought for it, its becoming a financial down fall
-
well atm to get it on the road again im looking at around £200+ and thats if it goes through a mot fine, iv already spent best part of £500 trying to get it ready for a mot, its getting to the point where the car is starting to owe more than its worth
-
Right this is now a serious matter, my celica is starting to become a right PITA on me and has started to turn into a front garden ornament and what with it about to run out of tax, still needing a mot still needing at least a drive shaft, hand brake cable and gowd knows what else im starting to think it might be time to cut my losses on it, so hypothetically speaking what my car be worth? you need to take into account it wont have the lenso, gen 7 seats, cf wrapped dash, stereo, sub/amp, induction kit. and probably no shocks, so basically a rolling shell with a engine
i know i have enough mods that will probably sell pretty damn quick and should see me a few hundred quid, but would the car be worth fuck all? specially to a breaker?
or can someone tempt the whole lot off me for a reasonable cash sum?

Castrol isnt technically fully synthetic even though it says it is, but it will do
-
if anyone is looking for alloys, i came across this site on another forum
-
well the front side windows can be tinted to let 70% light in but as Rich says they wont let 100% light in anyway so you could tint them but no more than around 15-20% really, but in all honestly i wouldnt bother with the fronts as its just not worth the hassle as it will give the police an excuse to 'tug' you

Nope anything over 8 seats you need D1
yep sorry, you're right, was thinking that people carriers are 12 seats for some reason lol dont matter for me as i have a D and D1 on my licence anyway
-
Providing its attached to the car,not parked on a motorway
oh thats a low blow
-
yep you need a D1 iirc on your licence to drive anything over 12 seats, and unless you passed before 1992 i think it was you have to take your C test to drive HGVs
-
wear a mask and head gear if needed
in case you get your head stuck to the vinyl
annoying chancers

now you didnt say that, im prices under a stock 140
but what you have done is lowered your market by fully modifying your car, you're now only appealing to around 60% of the market if not less. and this kinda makes your price even harder to reach. by all means stick to your guns on the price, but you wont get a quick sale (not saying thats what you are after) you might have to wait several months for that right person to come along. and unfortunately you are going to have to put up with people giving you offers no matter what, you just say no and be done with it cos near on 100% of people will make you a offer regardless of what you price it at
