4 years 3 months, but changing it today before the suspension completely gives out on me!
-
Euro car parts do free delivery just incase you didn't realise
-
Got My receipt here bear in mind it's dated 18/03/08, the total was £340 that was for a cat-back system and fitting.
-
I had mine fitted at A14 Performance, very reasonably priced and they offer a lifetime guarantee providing you take it back once a year to get your card stamped. However I forgot to take mine but it's been on the car about 4 years now.
As for quality I'm no expert but I wouldn't say they're anywhere near the best but by no means the worst (you get what you pay for I guess), all I know is you tell them exactly what you want and they'll do it, if it not quite right they will sort it for you. I told them what I wanted and pointed out the tip I wanted on the end them came back at the end of the day to pick it up.
I was happy enough - took a few weeks to sound right but after being run in It's just what I wanted.
-
wish my fuel gauge showed that
Well hopefully that will last this week and next as thats when I can next afford to fill up
-
Theres quite a few marks on the car which you may or may not be able to see, but considering its over 15 years old and the clock shows this :
It's actually in quite reasonable shape
One thats not in quite so good shape right now is my brothers GTO which has an Oil leak so is currently parked up for another week :
-
Doubt you seen the car anywhere else as I only use this site - well unless someone else nicked my pictures that is
I thought there was something a bit different when I took the car for a drive last night - must've been the extra 10bhp!!
Oh and thanks
-
Thats how long it took me to finally fit my club stickers.
Found them again the other day whilst having a tidy up and as my car had a wash and polish today I decided it was about time I fitted them
Need to take some pictures while the car is still clean - it was the first wash in I can't remember how long the first bucket of water was just about black after going over the car once. So I decided to to give it a second wash - got to make the most of it before the hosepipe ban
-
Good call, My parents tax is due and they're going to ask me to do it on-line for them.
Will tell them to do it now to save a few quid
-
I assume they're all perfectly acceptable oils to use then?
-
Going to do an oil change soon and was going to get my oil from Euro Car Parts as my work allows me a trade discount there as they do a lot of business with us.
So which oil would you get (my car's a 96 SSII)
Shell Helix HX7 10w40 : http://www.eurocarpa...72251&0&cc5_245
Castrol Magnatec 10W40 : http://www.eurocarpa...71951&0&cc5_245
or there own brand TRIPLE QX 10w40 : http://www.eurocarpa...76011&0&cc5_245
or something else they sell?
Thanks

Good to hear you got sorted nice and quick.
Merry Christmas to you and the rest of the CCUK :xmas_biggrin:

At home I put in 1st with the handbrake off (have had other cars where handbrake has frozen on!!)
At work I just put the handbrake on.
-
If I'm reading your post correctly you need to upload your pictures to photobucket or something similar (even facebook will do) then copy the image address and add to the thread where needed.
-
excellent thanks.
I will actually get round to changing my tatty old fob for a new one, will be my cars Christmas present
-
yeah it is a cobra alarm and thanks
-
Open it and have a look?
Usually I would but most of the fob is held together by cellotape, so I'll be getting a new case so want to make sure I've got the right battery before changing it over as it's the only fob I've got!
-
Does anyone know if these : http://www.amazon.co.uk/CR2032-Battery-pack-Panasonic-Lithium/dp/B002U00ZNK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1322793518&sr=8-2
are the correct batteries for the alarm fobs that look like this :

If you have lost your PIN or never was given one your Cobra dealer should be able to get it.
You need to find the serial number on the back of the alarm unit and the dealer will contact Cobra in Italy for the PIN.
Umm where exactly would this be located and is it easy to get to, the alarm was fitted years before I brought the car, looks like back in 2001 so it was the owner before the last who had it fitted!
-
well the reply I received was :
"Hi
You are ok with one fob, but you require a PIN number to program it, do you know if you have this?"
Unfortunately I cannot find this said PIN even though I've got the certificate of installation so I guessing i'm pretty much screwed without it
-
i would like to know the answer to this as well, iam only down to the one fob myself could do with another set
I've emailed the seller my question, hopefully they can give the answer I'm hoping to hear

Got a Cobra 7928 alarm system on the celica.
However I only have 1 key fob which I'm sure the battery is nearly dead on and this one is very tatty.
If I brought 1 of these : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/COBRA-CAR-ALARM-REMOTE-FOB-7777-CASE-PARTS-BRAND-NEW-/390327563502?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5ae155f4ee
and 1 of these : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cobra-car-alarm-remote-key-fob-model-7727-7777-/170662448037?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27bc464ba5
Will I be able to program it with a single fob?
-
Mines currently sitting on a bit over 220K km's, so whatever that is in miles.
Heads Up - Magnatec £17.50 Halfords offer
