I have these on my car and they are very good to start with. After time though I find that they get really really noisy !!
Then they quieten again.
I added a little WD40 off a rag onto them and they have been ok since.
Ok as a budget brand. But not as good as the old Goodyear ones that Cosco used to do.

The link isn't working mate.

I never met Simon, but read his threads that he wrote over the years and the work he did was a credit to him.
I can't believe it has been a year though.
Keep well.

This happened to me when I went to collect wintersun's old car. It was the anti theft system that locked me out whilst filling the tyres with air.
There are a couple of way to do it. I personally pulled the glass outwards from the top and used a long stick to flick the lock catch and this opened the door. .
The other way is to put your hand up behind the front bumper and manually flick the bonnet catch to open the bonnet. Then you can remove the intake pipe and put your hand over the throttlebody to stall the car. This will cut the engine and the doors will re-open.
The doors open when the engine is cut off so by stalling the car, it allows you to open the doors again.
Good luck.

That is definately the weirdest looking Toyota I have ever seen. ( And they have made some pretty weird cars in their time )
I've got to agree that it looks like a renault megane of sorts.

prices must have gone up in the last 3 years then!!!
Apparently so if they used to be £1 each.
These are the part no.s for them:
LH - 64323 - 20061 - 22
RH - 64323 - 20051 - 22
-
mr.t sell them for like a quid each
They are actually £7.60 each from Toyota as I rang up about them a few weeks ago.
I sell them for £5 a pair delivered but at the moment I have only got the drivers side in stock.

If your car is running McPherson suspension chances are you have the same gearbox as a UK spec GT.
If you are running Superstrut then you will probably have the E56 gearbox which is different to the UK and other import ones.
If you need a box though, just ask as I have both in stock.

Remember the old Banzai celica ST?
Think that got sold to the son of the founder of missbanzai as well.
I see it every now & then round my way & it still looks amazing.
Obviously a club with good taste!
Joe Clifford ( Banzai editor ) bought quite a few parts off me for that Celica when it was the Banzai car.
He did a good job with the work on it and I got offered to buy it at the time from Joe after they decided to change the car, but with it being a 1.8 it kinda put me off. But I think the guy who bought it fitted a GT4 front end if I remember correctly and it id look pretty good.

Good offer on the payout there Janet. Looks like the old boot mobile did you well !

Sorry to hear this Jan,
Hope you are ok and the car isn't too badly damaged.

so no definitive section of rules on retro fitted HIDS then ?
My PIAA sidelights have a slight blue tint when they shine through the projector lens, but take them out the housing and the MOT tester I use agrees that they are a pure white light... will be interesting to see how strict he has to be come the next MOT on the Gen6.
I still need to look at getting new webbing on one of the RA28 seatbelts as there is a 1.5cm cut in one of them.
The rules on HID's as far as I am aware. Is that they are legal if your car has got headlight washer jets.
If you retro fit them onto a UK facelift gen6 for example, then that is fine as they came with the headlight washer system, so they can't fail it.
But if you fit it to say a gen7 that has no headlight washers then it can be an MOT fail depending on if your MOT guy knows every single rule or not.
-
That is definately an intake temp sensor from a gen6.
It will fit all gen6's even though it came off a 3sfe as they are all the same.
-
I have this car in my watch items on Ebay. I am considering it at the moment.
-
Nice one mate, at least it wasn't too bad in the end.
Now get that multi coloured car back in the workshop for the winter until its ready
-
It was good to meet you Jamie the other day.
You'll have to keep us all up to date with your progress on the car over the coming months and good luck in next years sprint series too.
It is certainly a great club.
-
Damn Brian, sorry to hear about this mate.
He made it to my lock ups in Bolton and was then heading off down towards Birmingham afterwards.
His van was like a Celica goody box too.
-
That is an unbelieveable find. There are few gems in there for sure

Just use varying grades of wet and dry on the moon roo with lots of wate and then 3m cutting compound on a rotor polisher again with lots of water following through with T-cut, then polishes and waxes etc...
I have seen the sunroofs done in this way and works a treat. It gets rid of all the knackered top coating.
-
I have had them fitted to two of my gen6's in the past. They aren't bad considering the price.
The front does drop slightly more than the rear, but its not a bad drop really.
-
If yours is a 3sge then you can definately use your existing carriers.
You just need to take the calipers off the carriers.
You also need to remove the carriers off the twin pots as well.
As has been said, Mondos is a3sfe, so had the smaller carriers fitted which are the same as the UK spec 1.8 so they aren't the right size for the twin pot ones.
-
yaeh just standard single pot that are on it mate
Is your car a 3sge 2 litre to start with Mitch. I never asked you that on PM earlier?
-
It would have to be black Mani.
Definatley not red mate. I think they would blend too much with the paint work if you did them red.
Car transporters ?

A friend of mine has used this company and they seem pretty good.
Cost is £105 for 24 hour rental. You get 259 miles allowance and then 12p per mile thereafter.
If the car is a distance away, it may be worth considering.
There are various depots you can use. He used the one in Bradford.
Hope this helps.
