Cant even start to describe how Gutted i am for you. What a nightmare.

3 options available:
1, Get wood blocks and nail them to the bottom of your feet so you can reach the pedals
2, Purchase a plasma cutter and cut around the seat so it can be removed from the car completely
3, Panic and run around holding your hair while screaming at the top of your voice AAARRGGHH!!!!

Has anyone converted a gen 6's standard headlights to projector by using a 2.5" or 3" Hid projector lens angle eye halo lens kit and shroud. I'm toying with the idea and may just give it a go

Cheers for the replys

Does anyone know if a 7a-fe's drive shafts will fit a 3s-fe's or more to the point just the inner cv joints ???

I used the two spoon trick on mine and it worked perfectly, spoon on each side and lever equally to save bending pin.

Romax do same day turn around, just drop your car off on the morning and pick up later that same day. It saves faffing around with extra wheels etc. also the £50.00 per wheel includes everything. Just look in my gallery for the job they did on my wheels.
Just noticed Scarff ya from same town LOL

ROMAX UK, STOCKTON-ON-TEES, UNIT 4 ROSS RD
it's around £50.00 a wheel They do a brilliant job

Don't drive with this stuff in no matter what. I have also heard it can cause oil leaks etc. in older engines as its sometimes the gunge build up that's keeping the older seals and things sealed.
-
Cheers everyone for great feedback. I'm only wary because this is engine was only recently fitted due to the hydro shock problem i had. Checked it again today, no new gunge build up in filler cap and oil is really clean, water is clear also with no bubbles or smell of exhaust fumes coming from water filler bottle, radiator is spotless inside also. Plus no sweet smell from exhaust that could suggest burning antifreeze. So going to go for a good long drive out tonight Once the weather changes for the better ill do a full re service, it's has only just passed a MOT so it should keep on motoring for yonks and yonks. By the way it only failed on a front wheel bearing that only cost me 20 odd quid to put right, Damn I love Toyota's
-
I'm putting it down to weather and a lot of short journeys lately but will have it checked. oil inside engine is very clean and no water loss what so ever.
-
I certainly will do but this weather isn't doing any good at all. Roll on summer

Has anyone noticed they have white gunge in their oil filler cap. I checked my oil tonight and the dipstick was showing low oil but clear oil not murky, then i noticed white gunge in the filler cap so cleaned it and did a top up. I checked the water levels and no change at all, full as usual. I am summarising it is just down to theses frequent changes in bad weather. Also engine is in great shape and only has 42000 miles on it so don't think is anything serious as no blue smoke but do seem to get a lot of steam from exhaust on really cold days. Any ideas anyone ??

I have a JDM on the same reg L but mine doesn't have light washers but inside is identical. Looks like it's had a replacement front bumper as the SS1's didn't come with washers on the headlights.

I have the Nankang sport NS 20 215/45R17 91V XL and i swear they stick to the road like no ones business. Another thing is they are also lasting well

Just a quick update: This engine with a hole in and a smashed to pieces conrod still starts and runs. Now if that isn’t a testament to how good these cars are I don't know what is. Thank you Toyota

@Planc It sure was and facing forwards ((( I certainly have learned a lesson i wont ever forget
-
Cheers everyone for your Great reply’s but the Great news is i have bought the engine with just over 40,000 mile on it for £400.00 inc delivery and will do a straight swap out Never even entered my mind about the hydro lock Also @Planc it's a K&N induction kit that is fitted which i will also be changing. The thing is i was in the inside lane with a car on my outside so i had nowhere to go but through the fairly deep puddle Thanks again everyone I LOVE MY CAR and just could never face scrapping it.
-
It's a 3s-fe running standard apart from K&N air filter. It really has been a great engine and has only just done over a 100,000 mile. I dont know if it had anything to do with it but i hit a large puddle i couldnt avoid on a dual carrageway just minutes before then after stopping i reved the engine and BANG! I've sourced a engine with only 40 odd thousand mile which im debating wether to get or not, funds really are tight at this time of year. Does anyone know exactly what i would need to do inorder to change it to a 3s-ge, would the ecu fit straight on the wiring loom for instance? I really am GUTTED
Someone is having a bad day.......
