Pirelli P zero Asim
Make and Model plus size of Tyre: Pirelli P zero Asim- 205/45/17
Celica owned: Gen 7 VVTi
Type of driving: Motorway and City. More motorway
Type of driver: Vrooooooooooommmm...Nyeeaaah....Eeeee... (pretty crazy)
Miles covered so far and wear rate: Back wheels have done 3000 miles and still look good, hardly any wear in the tread which is surprising seeing how many miles I do. Front ones I changed yesterday and they just as good as the rears
Dry use: Excellent grip, perfect for the speedy-cornering celica.
Wet use: I don't really speed in the wet either, but overall the grip hasnt let me down yet (touch wood).
Noise: When I only had the rear ones on (the front were Michelins) the noise was horrible! On the motorway it felt like I was in a lorry and on old cobbled streets I almost went deaf. Now that I've got both F and R Pirelli Asims, it's seemed to have evened out and the noise is not as unbearable anymore. Average. Either that or I've gone deaf.
Overall opinion / comments / strengths / weaknesses: Overall I would give these tyres a 9/10. Excellent grip, but they do make a bit more noise than the average tyre.
Price paid and from where: £200 for 2 tyres from Northway tyres in Watford. They are also doing a deal with Pirellis, if you buy 3 you get 1 free!
