205 for 6J
215 for 7J
225 for 8J
otherwise you start running a slight stretch look or leave the rim exposed to curbing/pot holing, you can use an oversized tyre on a slimmer wheel no problem to a certain extent.
a 7J wheel with a 225 tyre will look the same as an 8J with a 225 tyre, you'd have to have them side by side or break out the ruler to tell the difference.
a 7J wheel should have a lower different unsprung weight to an 8J, ergo less weight means more speed.

Can you please vote for me as celica of the month on 6GC
i fear if this gets found out then they will cancel this months comp like they did previous when some rallied everyone just to vote for their car, it's fine advertising the vote but some one was found out just asking everyone to vote for theirs car from their local club or sumat
-
IMO the 7 is not a 'proper' Celica, its the US vision of one. Nice car but not an authentic "celica" as the prev 6 gens were. Its not really a Jap car.. lol
Gen 1 looked like a Yank muscle car
Gen 2 looked like an Opel Manta
Gen 3 looked like an Audi of sorts
Gen 4-6 looked Japanese of that time, now they no longer build cars that look that individual
Gen 7 looked different altogether although designed by a Yank, it's styling was meant to draw in the Integra crowd

You've got a live one Sonic! Get reeling
I was jesting I happen to like the 5 it's a nice alternative to a POS corsa/saxo
-
you are just jealous tom that my mullet and shoulder pads look good with my car
If you want to admit to still having both of those that's up to you, the mullet I can understand but the shoulder pads????!!!???!!!!!!

all saftey issues are worth posting up mate
Recall: No. 3 of 3
Recall Ref: R/1994/030
Exact Model:
Description: ugly front end
VIN:
Build Date:1994- 1998
Numbers:
Defect: the addition of 4 head lights onto their new celica , making it look like some sort of pond dweller
Action: buy a gen 5
So gen6's have 6 headlights (2 + 4 = 6) now? Think you'll find we have the correct number of front lights for a true Celica and not not some dodgy 80's fashion item pop ups

after being away from the celica for a few years i really have found new love with my new celica, sure she has a few little niggles, but for the price i paid im well chuffed. who else is loving their celica?
it's been less then a year, you were modding the Black SS-II till at least May last year http://www.celica-club.co.uk/forum/index.p...howtopic=101417
just waiting for the "for sale" thread and the "i'm buying an oil wasting Datsun" thread, you're like one of those fella's that constantly shags his ex-girlfriend, yeah she's pretty and all that but been there done that, you know someone's going to get the wrong idea try to get back into a relationship and it will all end with heartbreak exactly the same way as before. same with those frigging Datsuns.

bit of a deceptive name those bulbs as they aren't xenon gas they are LED's, since when has xenon emitted only blue light? my genuine xenon bulbs emit normal yellow/white light.
i wouldn't worry about MOT you should fail anyway since you've fitted HID's of any type so where ever you take it they're probably dodgy as sin if they pass it, this could be a blessing or a curse as it, makes you think what else aren't they checking properly?!?!?!

For how long?

interesting, will this work on my 1993/94 Gen 6 as it says OBDII is Toyota 1996+ but the Gen 6 was the same from 93/94 till 99 wasn't it?
-
nice one, in the new year i maybe after some carbon TRD/OEM sides for the 6
-
they are made by who? your running the risk of buying shite there bud as you know feck all abut them, they may just be cheap ass plugs with iridium written on them, better sticking to proper makes that you trust are genuine
-
i have no idea bud, i don't have a clue as to how much workmanship or materials are needed to make things out of carbon fibre then there is your profit on top of that, it was more of an enquiry and i thought maybe more people on the site would be interested, i would never expect a full scale production just cos i wanted one mate.
-
not sure if its been asked before, any chance?
-
what do you reckon the fit would be like on a six not a GT4? always fancied one just for the looks was even thinking of making one my self?
-
me (right) with 2 of the lads after a few sherbets
the steed
-
you got a website yet chinaman?
-
schweet let us know when the webby is up with an online catalogue, would love some Carbon bits (bonnet, tailgate, interior etc.) what about carbon splitters and skirts to go with bonnets and tailgates?
Whats all the fuss about wrapping?
in General Celica Discussion

if you don't wrap properly then heat is expelled at extreme rates in area's that are not wrapped and can cause fire, also you left one branch naked that branch will have a lower operating temperature so the exhaust gasses will have a lower flow velocity. wrapping can be dangerous and should only really be done with extreme care.
